I lost my job in January of this year and was evicted from my apartment in March. I have food and housing but still haven't been able to get a new job and now my landlord is taking me to small claims court on 6/8/2026 trying to get $5,305 USD from me. I'm doing my best to sell off as much of my stuff I can to afford this but even if I sell everything I own I will never reach this amount.

Update: The court session has ended and this is the agreement that was arrived at, I will have to pay off in installments of $442 a month for approximately 12 months to fully pay off the Landlord. I currently have the funds to pay for roughly 3 months of this so any donations would be greatly appreciated. Slight correction the amount I pay is actually $451.99 a month due to the landlord's website having a transaction fee (because of course it does >:c)
I just got hired at a really well-paying job that is 100% remote and will cover all my costs for the foreseeable future so thank you to all the people who helped me get the funds to survive till I could get to this point. I love you all, now please go support other trans women who are less fortunate than me.
