There are some songs that you love a lot, and listen to so many times. They are related to a moment, something special. And then you forget them.

A few years later, you hear them again and it hits you : the melody, the lyrics, the rythm, and the memories. They allow you to travel back in time, be 19 again and it feels so good.

"Saturday" by Westrin & Mowry is one of those songs, and it made my day.

That's how powerful music is.

I wrote a song.

When I was maybe 16 or 17, I was in a band in the music school and I wrote a song. I was so proud of it, and proud to perfom it live.

3 years later, I played it with a friend of mind and we recorded it on a video.

This morning, while I was listening to a random CD in my car with songs I loved from that year, I heard my song.

It was TERRIBLE haha! So so bad! The lyrics, the melody, everything!

But I'm glad I still have it, remembering me I could never have been a singer or songwriter!

Changing people in dreams

Do it ever happen to you?

Last night I was dreaming about going to a show with my boyfriend. We were late and running to be there on time. The band was already on stage, except one of them, having a chat with fans in a corner of the room. Totally normal for a dream.

Anyway.

Then my bf and I were going to see this guy and just when we were sitting to talk to him, my bf became my mother. Just like that. While dreaming, I didn't find this weird, but now that I'm thinking about it...

And this is how I dreamt that I was introducing my mother to an artist that I admire.

So! In 12 days I'll be at my favorite band show again, for the 15th time, in Paris and in Switzerland on the next day. And as always, I'm way more excited about being with my best friends for an exciting and crazy week-end than seeing Hanson themselves.
