She had been told time and time again that he was dangerous and to a certain extend, she knew it too. Yet she couldn’t keep herself away. Maybe he was dangerous and it called to her self-destructive tendencies but when Angel looked at him, she saw someone who’s brokenness matched hers. And maybe, just maybe they could help each other heal from it. If nothing else, he was hot and Angel was more than willing to pass the nights with him for now. Her arms snaked around his waist as her teeth captured her lower lip. A part of her was disappointed in his response. Angel smiled as he cradled her chin. “I mean, if I’m out there by myself guys are just going to assume I’m single and can talk to me but if you’re out there with me…well, why would they even bother trying?” She pressed against him. “Or we can get out of here if you want.”
Dallas knew he wasn’t perfect. At times he felt second fiddle to most circumstances, but when he met Angel it felt like he had finally met his match. Someone he could conquer the world with. He knew she deserved better, but at the same time he couldn’t let her go. She was too much of a good thing in his dark and dreary life. Was that fair to her? No, but he was willing to better himself for her. Step by step. “You make a good point there, peach.” He smiled down at her, holding her close by her waist. Dallas wasn’t great at expressing his emotions but every second that Angel lingered closer he could begin to feel his throat tighten up. “That’s up to you. I don’t want to ruin your fun, ya know? Though I wouldn’t mind taking you home, I think you know that by now already.” He chuckled, moving to press a soft kiss into her forehead. “I’m down for whatever. If we go home you can pick a movie. Anything you want, it can be cheesy even. Pop a bag of popcorn.”
