Hello friends!
🌻🌲🌻🌲🌻
I realise, as I pour myself a hot chocolate to have whilst I open my Christmas cards, that I haven't actually posted anything on this blog since 2020!
So, in the time between now and my next lecture, I'm gonna make this a little introductory post.
Hi, my name is Juno, and I am a first year Musical Instruments student at West Dean college, nestled in the South Downs, in England. I wanted to make this blog to show what life is like for me here, and to share in my passions and hobbies.
My biggest joys come from needle felting (mainly animals), writing, drawing, playing guitar, and woodworking, the last two of which is what I am here to study, after all.
Studying at West Dean college is a uni experience unlike any others I have heard of. We're snuggled away out in the countryside, miles away from the nearest town. Our main building is an old country manor house, and the student body is only around 100 people. We are surrounded by rolling hills and luscious countryside, and all of the courses here are somewhat niche areas of crafts and conservation.
Personally, for me, this place is a little slice of heaven. It's been less than three months since I started here, and I have already met so many incredible people, and made friendships I hope to last a lifetime.
And now, as I add the marshmallows to my chocolate, and grab a couple of biscuits out of the fridge, I set about opening cards from some of these wonderful people.
(i am going to treasure these for a lifetime)
Whilst we are nearing the end of the first term here, I hope you will join me in the future! I aim to post weekly about the shenanigans I (and sometimes my friends!) get up to here at West Dean, and all the things I hope to make from here on out.

Wishing everyone a very warm and joyful December,
