Clara Benin Tom N Tom's (Bacolod City)
I've finally seen Clara Benin live last Saturday! and she did not disappoint, amazing set and a great reception from the crowd. She brought CD's + tshirt of her new EP "Riverchild". It's also for a great cause as proceeds of it will go to the scholarship program of Tapulanga Foundation.
*Her dad "Joey Benin" also played with her doing the piano and bass.

Hole in the Earth is a Filipino rock band from Sagay City, Negros Occidental. The band, which was founded in 2015, consists of Brian Ferraro (lead vocals, guitars), Ryan Villamil (lead guitars, backup vocals), Mario Villa (bass) and Artdave Tajanlangit (drums). Their sound is best described as "alternative rock" and somewhat crosses over to other rock genres. Just like any other group in it's infancy, they started covering songs from bands they looked up to, like Deftones (as evidently on their band name) and Chevelle, to name a few. But they quickly moved on from that phase and started writing their own songs and in turn created their own unique music which I've never heard of, at least in the Visayas region. Blending a heavy sound with melodic choruses, which first time listeners can get hooked to. We'll never know what's in store for this band in the coming year or in the future but I'm pretty sure there's always a spot for musicians who create their own songs, and they're not doing it just to say it's "original". Their songs are raw but has a lot of potential. Given an adequate studio environment to record and a seasoned audio engineer to guide them, we're in for an eargasmic treat from Hole in the Earth.
