Reblogs in a chain now get their own notes
The reblog chain is one of the things that makes Tumblr unlike anywhere else. All the notes on reblogs are attributed to the original post, no matter which branch people actually liked or reblogged. We want to keep encouraging conversations, and give contributors the recognition they deserve.
Soon, you'll be able to like, reblog, or reply to any part of a reblog chain, and that note will go to that reblog's author. Each reblog will have its own counts, instead of one aggregated number from every version of the post. And yes, you’ll be able to like multiple posts in one chain.
If a reblog doesn't add anything, the love flows up to the last person in the chain who did. Your post doesn't lose notes just because people spread it quietly.
Past notes will stay on the original post — we're only changing what happens from here on out. Retroactively re-attributing all of them would be... a lot.
This is just the beginning. More changes are coming as we keep building this out – stay tuned!
this is a devastating change for artists on tumblr. please leave a comment on this post and submit a feedback form to tell @support this is a bad idea.
I knit a triangle scarf!
It's knit with merino/alpaca mix yarn (weight 100g/300m). I originally made this with a lot less increases/decreases and it ended up looking really wonky, so I frogged the whole thing and re-did it completely. It turned out much better and I finished it just in time for the warmer weathers. It is so soft and comfy!
”with shapes.inc you can talk to your ocs!!” Dumbass. I’m already talking to them. In my head. “B-bbut what about your favourite charac-“ skill issue. In my head as well. get fucked.
I saw people making these super cool knitting bingos for themselves and I wanted to make one too! I've been trying to get back into sewing recently, so I wanted to include that in here as well. I thought this might be a fun little way to keep myself inspired through the year and not put too much pressure on myself by making a list or planning too far ahead. These things are stuff I'd like to get done and maybe it will happen this year, maybe not. We'll see!
My Christmas card from last year. I tried to get some progress shots but last December was so damn dark it was pretty much impossible. But please enjoy, penguins!
I've been slowly getting more into organic and abstract shapes in pottery, which has been great fun. It's also been helping me push my creativity into new territories. Here's a small vase I made for my grandma!
Me: Surely I can knit my first ever drop shoulder jumper without a pattern!
Me, several days later while frogging a sleeve for the second time:
Oops, I had to frog it for a third time BUT now I got it!
Problem: I don't have the time/energy to knit all the cool knitwear I want.
Solution: Draw my characters in knits!

I made a baby blanket! This took forever but it was still worth it because it was for my little baby niece. I tried to design this with as much texture as possible, so it's fun for the baby to touch.
Knitted with dark green Katia Merino Baby.
Autumn colours, gotta love them 💛🍂

Time for spooooky treats! Serving them on my handmade black ceramic cherry blossom plate. 👻
