Hey guys, my IHSA stable has been struggling to stay afloat due to the pandemic. The state of Maryland has completely restricted all travel outside of the home, meaning all lessons have stopped. My coach has already given away one horse and she has been applying for a couple small business loans with no success. I know it’s a rough time for everyone, but if you have anything to spare or can spread the word, it would be greatly appreciated!
Some more info from the current team leadership:
Because of the current pandemic, coach Star Dalley has had to completely shut down The Other Left at Oatlands Stables’ lesson program. However, there are still 27 lesson horses in need of care. These horses are used to teach the weekly lessons to the hundreds of students that have passed through Star’s program. Because equestrian lesson programs are shut down due to non-essential status, the money paid for lessons that is usually used to pay for the horses’ care is no longer coming in. We know that times are tough, but any donations that you are able to make would be greatly appreciated in contributing to their care. All donations will go directly towards hay, grain and farrier bills for our lesson horses. Any size donation is welcome, although we are offering sponsorship levels for large donations. Anyone who is able to make a recurring $200/month donation until the end of the pandemic will receive a free photoshoot with the horse of your choice. Anyone who is able to make a recurring $300/month donation until the end of the pandemic will receive a free photoshoot with the horse of your choice and a free lesson with head trainer, Star Dalley. The lesson horses, staff, and clients all greatly appreciate your generosity and support.
