elle woods and emmet forrest. thats it. send post. nevermind i need to talk about them because OH MY
they help each otherâs development; supporting and offering genuine advice and a shoulder (one with a big chip in it) to lean on. like emmet didnât and doesnât judge her based solely on her appearance (when she was in costume, the âbend and snapâ)(âcause you saw beyond all the blonde to my mindâ) and was a constant source of reliability for elle (in callahanâs (FUCK HIM) class when she got kicked out, after the âcostumeâ party, during thanksgiving and christmas break, in the trial, basically throughout the whole musical and more). and elle listened to him (his advice, his story, his compliments) and in turn let him relax (red bull and department stores for life) and stay true to himself (during the trial; of valuing your clientâs trust). they share in their successes (he shares the toast made to him because, yeah, sheâs the one who found out the dudeâs gay); a duet, not a solo. never stealing the spotlight from the other (âwhy are you always right?â âyouâre a genius!â âwhy do you always have to be right?â) , instead pushing to be the best versions of themselves together.
they built a friendship (âyou trust me, donât you?â âof courseâ) before anything (âyou are the best thing hereâ), removing rose-colored glasses or fantasized versions of each other. throughout the musical, youâll notice as they grow closer togetherâ through time, touches, jokes (âyou buttheadâ), and songâ and itâs natural, not rushed. they have a handshake (CUTE). unlike elle towards warner, she doesnât try to impress or prove anything when sheâs around emmet; sheâs just herself and more. like emmet is aware of elleâs plan to get warner back, and he doesnât sugarcoat or feed into it, instead inspiring her to follow through in her studies as she gains a passion for law (tap tap tap on her shoulder âwoah! is that my name up on that list?â). and elle knows of his aspirations and drive to make it in life, and she believes in him (âthe outside is new. but now it reflects whats already inside youâ)!
they donât pressure each other (even when sheâs leaving). when the otherâs close to the edge, itâs comfort offered and belonging reassured. in fact they constantly back the other up with positive words (if i had a shot for each time they complimented or smiled wide at each other iâd be dead on the floor) and a hand to support (emmet HELD HER HAND it was very dark but i SAW IT did nobody else see it. DID U SEE IT PLS TELL ME U DID).
the entire song of âLegally Blondeâ (which i have on REPEAT). elle has lost faith (in herself; in all sheâs achieved so far) but emmet hasnât (âthatâs ludricousâ), in fact his faith in her has strengthened as well as his feelings (im BLUSHING). he doesnât question elle for a second, instantly on her side and there for her. he doesnât tell her he loves herâ she just went through a traumatic experience; kissed by a man she thought her mentorâ wishing instead he showed it more, and showing it still as he asksâbegsâ her to stay. and elle; sheâs losing hope on her dream, one that used to be solely for love but grew into a determination to fight. talking about going back home, living life as the blonde people see her as. (âsome girls fight hard. some face the trial. some girls were just meant to smile.â but she has. she has done all!!) (âi need you to stayâ)
and when she comes back (!!!) he immediately lets go of callahan ((FUCK callahan) what heâs worked three years for) and supports her. (âdid you actually think i was gonna let you get away?â SIR??). as she fights for the case, heâs there ready to reassure elle because she can do this.
warnerâs proposal (can this guy not not propose); sheâs focused on her career now (âseriousâ), she found a love for it! and even though the reason she entered harvard because of her love for warner, she made it through with the love surrounding (her friends; the greek chorus, paulette, her family) and growing around her (emmet forrest. the law students that stood by her). and i love that they handled and talked it out maturely, thereâs no hate or anything untoward. and (âso many dreams to earnâ) sheâs reaching for dreams now, continuing her story outside of him, outside of being âblondeâ. and sheâs not gonna give up; sheâll earn it, striving hard towards her new goal.
and, of course, the end. elle is our valedictorian (congrats I LOVE U ELLE WOODS) and we see how the people in her life grew as well, not just her! they all empowered each other!! AND THE. AND THE PROPOSAL (ms woods comma elle my poor heart can only take so much please) (third time IS the charm). she takes initiative, sheâs the one asking on one knee. and sheâs in her graduation robe; not an engagement outfit or anything. it shows her; her life, her self, what she values!! (and they are SO CUTE. oh my god ohmigod you guys).

this started as a joke but then i started actually thinking about it and now im really annoyed that IDs have this one letter that doesnt mean anything for cis people and is a huge pain in the ass for trans people when we could instead have literally lifesaving information so emergency medical services could just check ur wallet to see which blood to give you so you dont die or whatever But No
