I js found your prohibitedwish fic and I LOVE IT SO MUCH. I love the fact I hated how orbo was acting (that means you wrote a good antagonistic charater), I love the angst and the funny moments (only i found the funny, maybe), I love the overall idea and headcanon that led to this wonderful fic and I LOVE ALL OF IT. I am significantly more hyped about the Scarab appearance in the new ep, but I also feel the need to comment on Fionna'a situation bc ik there's gonna be talk about it.

To be blunt, I support womens wrongs. She did that, all of it, but for the love of glob female characters are allowed to have flaws. Y'know, character flaws, like the same thing Finn had multiple times over in the original adventure time. Because to put it simply people are flawed and a good character should be able to reflect that.

My takes on her actions this ep:

1) I think it was a good decision to blame finn, actually. It bought them time, Finn is too unconscious to testify unless they go to dream Finn who wouldn't remember. In fact, for all we know maybe the gods'll get a way to revive him even if temporarily to get him to testify.

2) Yeah, she kissed flame. Yes of course that was wrong. If you haven't noticed the key plot thread in the room: her relationships and ways of handling them are a mess. In that aspect, Finn's history of relationships weren't all that different. Plus before people go all hate train on Fionna they should remember that Flame is equally to blame here, if not more given that he was the one actively in a relationship. Fionna's feelings are a mess and we know she hasn't gotten over him, but Flame should have shut her down when he noticed. Regardless, the important part here is what happens next because both of them will inevitably have to deal with the consequences of their actions.

3) During her destructive outburst she didn't even mean to go as far as things went in destroying the sweet spot. That absolute blunder was a combination of a bad decision while emotions were high and accidentally taking it further than intended. She was having a crash out after trying so hard to fix everything herself, and I don't blame her. This is just the tipping point for her character arc that has been building up all season. She's put a lot of her worth up to what she can do for others and has been so focused on it that she hasn't been taking care of her own needs like rent. Then after all of that they end up managing to do it without her help anyway, and without her even present. Does that make her getting into the bulldozer right? No! But she isn't suddenly an irredeemable character either. Fionna knows she went too far, and it's forcing her to finally confront her lack of self worth because of it. This is how she can start trying to get better.

fionna&cake theory time that i haven’t seen anyone else consider

so we know from ep3 that it looks like pb is gonna try to use the enchiridion + the princess gems to get to the timeroom to possibly make a wish, but what if- they just can’t?

we know prismo’s been glitching and haven’t seen him need to fulfill a wish since his first appearance in season 1, so what if he fails? no simple finger snap fix to cure finn. Plus prismo’ll probably be in some deep shit if he can’t get the issue fixed to do his job.

Do you think maybe Owen wishes it was him who died instead of Louis?

ep7 spoilers ahead, my analysis:

Owen and Avid are such parallels.

Owen turned because the only one who cared for him offered him the cure to his otherwise incurable disease. His vampirism is a gift. But then some humans didn’t like Lois. They plotted and planted evidence of the occult to kill the person Owen loved.

Avid turned because he wanted to cure his otherwise incurable ‘disease’. He only trusted his close friend to do it. Then he learned to love it because those he cared about were also vampires. He started to love, and be loved.

Owen never liked Avid. Owen plotted with Pyro for Avid’s death. Owen knew Avid turned to cure his disease, and he knew that Avid was doing what he could to be a welcome part of the core vampires. Owen had heard Avid’s compliments to Scott, and Owen killed him.

Avid died terrified and loved.

Owen lived vengeful and alone.

Had fun on wednesday with two new hazbin eps, got crazy on thursday because pwish in fionna and cake, and now today im absolutely crushed watching scott’s pov of vampires smp (and then others povs after).

so much is overlapping!

also watching smiling friends as it continues to come out, but that one isn’t as heavy a thing.
