heyo! i’m bean (main blog is @just-a-demi-bean) and this is my prompt blog! enjoy your stay!

i do take requests! they are open! just specify what you want: genre, gen/multi/other if it matters, or anything else.

Prompts are usually structured like this (I use a Person A/B/C format, and refer to the characters with they/them)

Tagging system is here (but it doesn’t always work so if you want to request something or have me search for an old one just let me know)

I don’t need credit if you want to use my prompt, but if you want to tag me in it or if you want to send me a link, i’m always happy to see someone’s take on my prompt and I’ll reblog it here :) feel free to edit/change the prompts as much as you want, they’re for you!

An asexual that runs a sex phone line and a prank caller they receive form an unlikely bond

Person A has been pining for Person B, who has also been crushing on Person A. Unfortunately, Person B is the most oblivious person on earth, and repeatedly insists that Person A doesn’t like me, they’re way out of my league, etc.

Their group of mutual friends, tired of the ranting that they hear from both Person A and Person B, and tired of their bullshit, decide to go on a group outing. The fun part? After planning the exact date and time for the get-together, they all cancel, leaving Person A and B on their first date that wasn’t even planned by them.

Possible resolutions:

Person A and Person B have been dating the entire time and just wanted to see how crazy they could make their friends

Person A and Person B finally get their crap together

Bonus Points if:

Their friends do actually go on the date—they’re just in disguise, spying from another table.

Person B cancels the outing before it actually happens, leaving Person A, frustrated, to bang on their door and beg them to be their s/o

Person A is a florist who has a crush on their friend, Person B. Person A doesn’t really know how to deal with their feelings, but they confess in the way they know best, and gives Person B a bouquet of flowers.

Unfortunately, Person B does not know flower language, and flowers have a lot of double meanings, so after some frenzied googling, they come to the conclusion that Person A is trying to friendzone them. (Irises mean ‘cherished friendship’ but also mean ‘promise in loving relationships’??) So of course, the most reasonable solution is to avoid Person A at all costs, which leads to Person A thinking that Person B is mad at them.

Possible resolutions:

Person A just keeps on sending more bouquets, until Person becomes more and more confused and confronts them like “WHAT IS THIS SUPPOSED TO MEAN”

Person A just keeps on sending more bouquets, Person B becomes more and more confused, until Person A finally just shoves a bouquet of red roses into B’s face like “DATE ME PLS”

Bonus Points if:

Person B is allergic to flowers

There’s a flower crown at some point

If it’s called The Perks of Being a Florist

If it’s called Peony for Your Thoughts

Person A known for being a matchmaker. They’re simply the best at knowing which person will be best in a relationship with who, and although they’re a little bit of a goofball and can be dumb at times, all their friends can confidently say that they had a rather big part in helping them get together with their current significant others’. Put simply, they’re just good at it.

Unfortunately, they are also very single. And of course, they have to lament about this to their best friend in the whole world, Person B, who has always been there no matter what, who supports them and knows them through and through. And Person B, of course, reassures them that they’re find someone someday, maybe someone who’s RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM AND THEY JUST COULDN’T SEE IT.

Possible resolutions:

All of their friends take it upon themselves to show Person A how dumb they’re being

Person B gets fed up and is just like “JESUS CHRIST JUST DATE ME ALREADY”

Bonus Points if:

Person B is aspec (this is unrelated, I just think it’d be cool)

Person A consistently compliments Person B throughout the story, like calling them hot or “the perfect s/o, why are you still single again?”

Person A makes it their mission to get Person B a date, but then purposely messes it up because they’re jealous they just don’t realize it

All of their friends consistently hint that Person A should date Person B and then Person A just laughs and brushes it off

Person A, a shy/quiet/antisocial teen, as a locker next to Person C, the most popular kid in school with confessions every other day. So when Person A gets a anonymous confession slipped into their locker, their first assumption is that it’s for Person C. But the notes keep on coming.

Person A is starting to get annoyed, so they leave a note for this secret admirer that this isn’t Person C’s locker, it’s the one next to mine, so if you could please stop slipping the notes into the wrong locker that would be great thanks. To their surprise, the mysterious writer of these notes, Person B, isn’t leaving the notes for Person C, and they do have the right locker after all.

Possible resolutions:

Person B reveals themself

Person B isn’t actually that smooth and Person A knows who it is already

Person B isn’t actually that smooth and Person A figures who they are after a while

Bonus points if:

Compliments

They’re both incredibly awkward

Person C knows what’s going down and ships it

Person C is actually friends with Person B

Person A is delivers pizzas for a local food chain. Person B orders a pizza one night and tips the cute delivery person way too much. Person A, of course, insists that Person B is overtipping them, and makes it very clear that Person B now has several free pizzas, all provided by Person B. Person B thinks it’s hilarious and agrees.

As time passes, Person B continues to order pizzas with the excuse of “I have a free one on my tab” in order to get Person A to continue to deliver them. The catch? They pay for them anyway, just to make sure that they’ve always got the excuse, continue to tip way too much, and probably orders once a week at least.

Possible resolutions:

Person A finally has enough and comes to Person B’s apartment with several boxes of pizza in hand, shoves it into Person B’s arms, and insists that it’s a date.

Person B finally admits that they’re sick of pizza and asks Person A on a date to Taco Bell or something

Bonus Points if:

Person B actually hates pizza

Person B hates pizza

Person A is a musician/person who just really likes music/producer/etc. who’s been making/playing/performing/listening to music since they were a kid. Person B is their friend, who doesn’t particularly like music, prefers podcasts to radios, and covers their ears whenever they’re watching a Disney movie.

Person A, ever determined, has made it their mission to help them find their favorite song.

Possible resolutions:

Person B discovers their favorite song when Person A literally isn’t even trying, like when they’re just hanging out and a song comes on the radio

Person B is actually deaf, and although hearing aids help them with hearing people talk, they don’t help with listening to the radio

Person B does actually discover their favorite song eventually, but they don’t tell Person A because they like it when Person A makes them playlists and shares their headphones

Bonus points if:

You make a playlist

Person A makes a ton of playlists

Person A is a famous actor/musician/youtuber/whatever, and their friend, believing that they’re alone and sad, has signed them up for a dating app. Person A thinks it’s hilarious, considering how recognizable they are, and decides to have some fun talking to random people and seeing if they realize who they are.

And that’s how Person A meets Person B. Person B is a famous writer/comedian/astronaut/idk, and like Person A, their friend has also signed them up for a strange new dating app. After reviewing each others’ profiles and realizing that wow, this must be a fake profile! Wonder how funny it would be to talk to them.

Possible Resolutions:

They meet in real life

THEY MEET IN REAL LIFE

Bonus Points:

One of them legitimately doesn’t recognize the other and thinks they’re just a normal person

They try to meet up in real life but don’t get to because they both get recognized by their fans and the café that they agreed to meet at was overrun by a crazed mob (And then they meet up again in private)

Their friend who signed them up for the app is actually the same person, who was just signing up all their friends for the kick of it.

With Valentine’s Day coming up, Person A has a conversation with their younger sibling about it, and how it was normally a day for couples to go on dates and spend time together. Their sibling is very interested in the holiday, asking tons of questions about different traditions and dates.

When the day rolls around and Person A’s parents are off on their own date, Person A opens their door to find their best friend, Person B, on their doorstep. When questioned, Person A’s sibling explains that obviously, it’s Valentine’s Day, but since you have to babysit me today I thought I’d just get your s/o to come over to have your date here! Before Person A can explain that no, Person B is not my s/o, Person B interrupts them with That’s right!! How thoughtful of you!

Possible resolutions:

Person B thought they were actually dating this entire time, while Person A was just silently pining for them

Person A and Person B have the date anyway, because they just can’t bear to tell Person A’s sibling that they’re not dating (and then they actually start dating

Keep it platonic and let them all eat dinner together :D

Bonus Points if:

the dinner is actually terrible and they both have to be like it’s great :]

Person B is a bookworm who just wants a quiet place to read that isn’t filled with annoying siblings or loud friends. Fortunately for Person B, there’s a lovely little space where it’s quiet, a cute café/a park bench/a shady tree/etc., a perfect place for them to study or read.

Unfortunately, Person B comes back one day to find Person A sitting in stealing their favorite place. Person A, the bad kid, the delinquent. And what’s more, they’re reading. And it just so happens to be Person B’s favorite book.

Possible resolutions:

They argue about who should have the spot, and they end up just sharing.

They start a mini book club with just the two of them

Bonus points if:

They argue over whether a certain book is good or bad

Person A is a small radio show host with the late-night shift, and they’re often incredibly bored during it. Person B, a regular listener of said radio show, notices, and calls in with a song request. 

It’s the most incredibly cursed song that has ever reached Person A’s ears.

Possible resolutions:

Person B continually sends in cursed songs

Person A starts playing in more cursed songs, with the message “this is for you, [Person B]”

The two know each other IRL and Person B actually did it to cheer Person A up.

Bonus Points if:

Person C, who is Person A’s supervisor and friend, almost bans Person B’s number so they’ll stop calling in with those requests and we will be spared

Person A’s shift is called “cursed hours” by the listeners

Person A is a radio show host and Person B is their significant other. Often, Person A works late and recently they haven’t been able to spend much time with Person B, but Person B has an excellent solution. Person A takes calls on air for song requests, and one day, Person B calls in.

(No resolutions this time, sorry!) Bonus points if:

Person B starts calling in regularly, either to request songs or just to talk with Person A. 

Person B asks Person A to run errands on their way home. For example: to grab something from the store or to pick up some food.

Person A and B end up chatting for longer than they’re supposed to every time Person B calls in, and then the two of them get yelled at (usually by Person A’s superior and friend, Person C)

Person A and Person B are two small radio show hosts. The show is 24/7, so there are several hosts who take shifts. Person B’s shift is right after Person A’s, and before Person A signs off there’s a short period of time when they’re both on air. During that period, they often bicker on air about song choices, who’s a better host, literally everything. Pretty much all of the regular listeners ship them.

Possible resolution: Person A confesses right before Person B starts their shift and Person B is like “ohmygod i hate you now i’m too flustered to do anything”

Bonus points if:

They complain about each other even when the other isn’t on

Teasing teasing teasing teasing

Person C is so done with them and yells at them to “STOP ARGUING ON AIR”
