Silly question but you or your followers have any idea on how to start writing fan fics? I got prompts and some ship ideas to try or fandoms in general but I’ve never even wrote before and it’s a lot to figure out.

I’m over 30 (to be vague) so it’s feeling like trying to learn to ride a bike all on your own way while watching tons of people riding around you just saying to ‘try’ but not explaining what is required to try?

Starting to write for the very first time can be a tricky task! I found that it helps a lot to first find a program you enjoy using. I wouldn't recommend Google Documents because they use AI to scan your writing and even go as far as deleting things without your knowledge. I switched to Ellipsus and LOVE it. So far, it doesn't have an app, but the desktop version allows you to create your own colour theme or pick one from the settings. Also, NO AI BULLSHIT!!!

As for the process of writing itself. I enjoy listening to music to get me into the groove. Since you said that you already have some things in mind, I'd say just try writing them down as if you were telling someone else the story. It doesn't have to be a whole fanfic, and it also doesn't have to be perfect on the first try. You can always go back and edit!

Maybe you have a little bit of dialogue in mind? Write that down and see how it feels 🤗

I can also wholeheartedly recommend using something like Thesaurus if you hit the good ol' "Gah dayum...I think I used the same word in 5 sentences in a row now...."

The most important thing is that you have fun doing it! Don't stress yourself over something that should be your fun time activity 💚💚

When I'm studying, I have a very set in stone way of marking subcategories with ->, • and -'s. I'm so pedantic with it that I'd rather rewrite whole paragraphs than have that order of organisation scrambled 🧍

The obvious choices would be war, corruption, discrimination, and world hunger. Picking one is kinda really hard, haha. Let's start with world hunger because that is something that could actually be fixed rather easily.

i’ve been taking care of a pair of young puppies (their mother wasnt doing a good job, and one of them got very injured. shes ok now i fixed her up) and they are so sweet. they follow me around everywhere and they talk to me and give me little kissies and theyll sit on my feet when i stand still/sit down in a chair. one of my bigger dogs is terrified of them tho its kinda funny. he’ll come up and sniff them, then run into his kennel and hide. they’re so tiny, he could easily hurt them, but hes the scared one. they want to play with him so theyll chase him into the kennel. absolutely goobery.
