Sometimes I'm in the mood for an edible on a Saturday night, but timing is still a thing. Take it too early? I'm out cold before the movie starts. Too late? I wake up Sunday feeling like I time-traveled—except I didn't go anywhere cool, just straight through brunch and into afternoon regret. No boss to answer to, but my Sunday is basically a write-off either way. Worth it? Usually. 😄

Listen, if you're young—still got that hope in your eyes—stop waiting. Stop waiting for the right time, more money, or for people to finally get you. They won't. And by the time you realize that, you've blinked and three years are gone.

I'm not being dramatic. One year becomes five. Five becomes ten. Then twenty vanishes while you're still arguing with yourself about that trip you didn't take or that person you didn't kiss.

One day you'll stare in the mirror and think, "Where'd it all go?" and all you'll have is a pile of moments you almost lived.

So do the dumb thing. Take the risk. Embarrass yourself. And stop caring what Karen from accounting thinks—she's not coming to your funeral.

So, I’m at work the other day, and this colleague of mine—she’s, like, 24, 25—was venting about the guy she’s been seeing. She said the last few dates they went on, he conveniently "forgot his wallet" or was "short on cash," so she ended up footing the bill every time. She was getting visibly agitated, and finally she just sighed and said, "I thought men were supposed to pay for dates?"

I couldn’t help but chime in. I said, "Well, yeah, if they can, they should. Sounds like your guy just… can’t afford you."

Then I gave her a little nudge and said, "Maybe it’s time to upgrade to someone a little older. You know, someone who’s actually established."

And she got this little smirk on her face and said, "You know what? I was actually kinda thinking the same thing."

The look she gave me? Let’s just say the message was received. Loud and clear.
