Beach Baddies
Hi @justadearie what were your thoughts on Marianne touching Sandokan'c chest in the jail scene? Do you you believe there will be more bare skin/intimate scenes like this in season 2? Take your time. No rush.
I certainly hope there will be more! For a man who works out so much they sure kept Can’s shirt on a lot in the show.
His Muse
Sandokan had always prided himself on his professionalism, there was a reason he was one of the best photographers in the business. But everything changed when he first saw Marianne. She was the most beautiful and haunting woman he’d ever captured through his lense. Now, Sandokan refused to photograph any other models.
Marianne never imagined she’d get to meet her favourite international football player, let alone that he’d fall in love with her at first sight. Now, she’s his good luck charm and never misses a match.
Summer at the Lake
They had named their Lake House, Monprochamp: the disappearing island. It was their own personal oasis where they could disappear from Marianne’s disapproving family, from Sandokan’s nosy siblings, and the pressures of society. It reminded them of the place they’d first fallen in love with each other and it was where they wanted to spend their forever.
Marianne hated everything to do with the British aristocracy, with the antiquated social customs of the landed gentry; she hated that for her twenty-first birthday her father had arranged for a selection of eligible gentlemen to bargain for her hand in marriage. So when Marianne discovered that the charming suitor Sandokan was actually an imposter, he immediately piqued her interest. It turned out he was a sailer who was planning to navigate the globe and crashed her party just for the fun of it.
Marianne found herself immediately comfortable with Sandokan. He wasn’t a part of this upper class world she’d been caged into, and he saw her for who she was, not what she could provide.
“Sometimes I wish I was strong enough to run away and leave all of this behind,” she’d confessed to him.
“Then come with me on my ship, we’ll travel the world together.”
At first she’d thought he was teasing her, but when he said it again she knew he was serious. Without a moment of hesitation, Marianne agreed. Ready for her life to change. Ready for an adventure.
Hi and good morning @justadearie, what did you think of Francis's shocked expression at her niece dancing with the pirate prince at the party? And what were your thoughts on Marianne taking Sandokan by the hand and leading him off the dance floor?
Honestly, I don’t think Francis’ drinking had anything to do with Sandokan’s unsuitable race or class (even though she was prejudice to it); I think it simply came down to Francis being jealous that men were so interested in Marianne. It’s clear that Francis never had any attachments and she was used to watching other women take her brother from her. At her core she’s so jealous and insecure and she’s being forced to watch Marianne get the attention she never received. She’s just full of hate.
Marianne doesn’t care for convention. The fact that she pulls Sandokan away is a testament to how much she genuinely likes Ismail as a man, which makes me giddy because he was probably one of the first men she found herself wanting to spend time with. She would have 100% run away with him if she thought he was serious.
Sandokan and Marianne’s first Christmas together. 🎄🎁🍪
Marianne is used to going all out for Christmas: decorations, cookies, presents, themed pyjamas, Christmas carols, the whole lot! Sandokan on the other hand, wasn’t used to such extravagance. But he was willing to indulge her whimsy to ensure his girl was happy.

Business Partners
Marianne had inherited her father’s business upon his retirement and in order to save it from bankruptcy she had decided to merge with Sandokan Industries. Their partnership was meant to be temporary: a strategic merger, a calculated risk. But late nights over market projections had blurred into breakfast in bed. Perhaps this arrangement would be a little more permanent than she first anticipated.
@justadearie I was thinking about when Lord Gullionk told Marianne Brooke had asked him for her hand in marriage at her birthday party. True to patriarchal form, Gullionk said he hadn't made up his mind whether to accept the offer; He didn't ask if Marianne was willing to marry this man she barely knew (Ed Westwick even brought up Brooke and Marianne's lack of real interaction). There's also him hyping Brooke up by saying he reminds him of himself as a young man (😖) and that the Pirate Hunter looks at Marianne like he use to look at her mother (Double 🤮, especially knowing what really happened to Angelica). Her dad believed Brooke had geniune feelings for Marianne, but never once did he ask her: "Do you love him/Could you grow to love him?," "Are you taken with him?," or even "Do you like him?" Marianne's feelings never mattered compared to her father's and Brooke's. In fact, it is not until Sandokan gets poisoned by the cobra, and Marianne immediately comes to his side, that Balau addresses her own feelings outside of anyone else's: "YOU love him." Marianne looked startled, and I think it wasn't just the realization of her true feelings for the Pirate King. It was someone else finally telling her "Your feelings matter. Love is not something you owe to anyone else, but something you choose for yourself."
Very beautifully put. Your comments also speak to Marianne’s feelings about: “what’s the use of privilege if your life is decided by others.” Although Marianne is blinded by her privilege, it’s also one of the reasons she longs to be free.
We’re Pirates, not Kidnappers.
Part 2 of At Your Side
Series Summary: This is a series of potentially missing Sandorianne moments within the canon events of Sandokan season one. This was quite a challenging exercise for me because I felt the show did an excellent job balancing character story lines. But they left me some room for my imagination to run wild! So here it is!
Work Summary: These missing scenes are interwoven throughout the timeline of events in episode three (Hostage). The missing moments include: Sandokan taking care of his hostage, Sandokan treating Marianne’s cut, Marianne being stubborn, and Sandokan teaching Marianne how to use a knife after Yussuf’s attack.
Excerpt:
He hadn’t intended to kidnap Marianne. In fact, he assumed he’d never see her again after she’d slapped him. In the end, it was probably a good thing she thought he was some type of beast—it would make this whole charade easier.
He’d spent the entire night at the helm doing his absolute best not to look at Marianne tied to the mast and shivering against the wind. Despite her obvious fear, there was still an immovable strength to her posture that spoke of her defiant nature. Her fierce determination was one of the things that initially attracted him. Fuck. Sandokan shook his head at the thought. He was not supposed to be thinking about how beautiful Marianne was; how his breath physically caught in his chest at the sight of her. She was a hostage. She was a means to an end. But despite being their captive, despite her likely—and hopefully—hating him right now, he didn’t want to see her mistreated. His Ibu would have killed him if he let a woman suffer at his hands!
Sandokan released a sigh before passing the helm to Sarkar. He made a quick trip to the mess and secured a cup of water before returning to the main deck. He noticed Marianne’s eyes narrow as he approached, but he could tell by the gentle bumps on her flesh and the rings under her eyes that she was cold and tired.
“You should drink.” He raised the cup, unoffended by Marianne’s hesitancy. “Please? I promise I won’t let any harm come to you. There’s no need to make this situation more difficult than it—”
“You should have thought of that before you stole me from my home!”
Sandokan brought a hand over his heart and apologised. “I’m sorry.”
Marianne’s face softened for a moment as the surprise eased the tension in her body.
“Please, have some water.”
When Marianne gave him a nod, Sandokan raised the cup towards her lips, very gently he tilted the cup forward, allowing the water to ease into Marianne’s mouth. He stared at her lips, at the gentle bow and the enticing pink hue. He was mesmerized.
Before he could react, Marianne moved. In one swift, defiant motion, she spat the mouthful of water straight into his face.
Sandokan flinched—only for a heartbeat. Then his expression hardened, his gaze snapping back to hers with a warning sharp enough to cut.
He did not wipe it away.
He let the water trail slowly down his cheek, refusing her even that small victory. Instead, his eyes traveled over her with deliberate, unsettling intensity—a look that would have earned him a sharp reprimand from his Ibu, had she been there to see it. And Marianne, stubborn as ever, did not look away.
“I don’t want your hospitality,” she said firmly. “I want you to take me home.”
“Really?” Sandokan took a step toward her, looming down until his beard pressed against the side of her face and his breath ghosted against her ear. “Because I thought you wanted to run away?” He pulled back when Marianne began to shiver.
“You’re a monster.”
“No. I’m a pirate.”

Part 2 of Part 1
Falling in love with Sandokan had been the easiest thing Marianne had ever done. He was the adventure of her lifetime—not because he swept her away on grand explorations, but because he showed her she could choose her own path.
When her father discovered the affair, the fallout had been swift and merciless. Sandokan was stripped of his position and forced to leave the ranch. What her father had not accounted for was Marianne’s resolve.
She had not hesitated.
If Sandokan was leaving, she was going too.
The early days were not romantic in the way novels promised. There were blistered hands from labor, coins counted carefully at the kitchen table. There were arguments born from exhaustion and fear. There were moments Marianne lay awake wondering whether love alone could sustain the reckless choice she had made.
But there were also mornings filled with golden light spilling over open fields. Fresh bread on a worn wooden table. The quiet pride of planting something and watching it grow. Sandokan’s laughter echoing across the pasture as he lifted their child into the air. His steady presence beside her—not as a fantasy—but as partner.
They built their life the way they built everything else: together.
And in the end, Marianne understood something she never had before: adventure was not always found in distant seas or daring escapes.
Sometimes, it was found in the people we love.
OK, @justadearie, we all know you like the scene where Sandokan shoves Yusuf's hands away ("Don't you DARE touch her!"), and pulls Marianne away to his cabin. I talked about in comments how he just didn't pull into his room, but he actually plopped her up on a TABLE near the wall, while briefly leaning over her. 🥵 Marianne didn't hop off said table until she started looking for something to pin up her hair. Anyway, I kind of got the feeling Sandokan in that moment was a little too into 'playing' the Big, Bad, Possessive, Pirate Captain. 😏 His fantasies were showing! 🤭 Because even if he broke the tension by joking about cutting her hair he still had to be 'reminded' that Marianne needed him to leave, so she could undress. He immediately ran out of there like a flustered teenager. 🤭
This scene! It totally did give us a glimpse of Sandokan potentially having a possessive side and maybe it’s something we’ll get to see in season two! Speaking of fantasies, even though it isn’t canon compliment—because Sandokan would never engage in non-con—it would be the perfect moment for a spanking. For the sake of future fan fic opprtunities, I really hope we do get to see a more intense side of him in regards to love, instead of this gentle sweetheart. Don’t get me wrong I love the yearning! But I always want him to remember he is a pirate and to quote Marianne a “beast”
Hi and good morning @justadearie,, how would you see and picture Sandokan and Marianne's first time? Their first time has to be special but also romantic. Respect and boundaries is key to when it comes to something as intimate as one's first time. Our boy would take his time to enjoy the experience as well as our girl. He is the definition of a respectful man who would worship a woman The experience would be intimate but also healthy and consensual.
Them baring themselves to one another in such intimacy is crucial to a moment such as this. I can picture certain sensual close up shots in my head of hands, facial expressions and lips touching naked skin.🔥
I can picture the scene would slowly fade into the next morning of them in bed. Marianne's head resting on Sandokan's chest with her hand feeling his heartbeat with pink cheeks and a soft smile. Basking in the afterglow.
It will be beautiful and everything we hope for 💗
I am working on a first time fic with the two of them. It is going to take me a while because I struggle with writing deflowering in a way that makes it realistic and still sexy to read. So it might take a while, but do look out for it in the future!
Her father had told Marianne to keep away from the new foreign exchange student at all costs. But Marianne had never been one to adhere to her father’s classist and racist ideologies. Sandokan was two years ahead of her and he had a tough exterior, but he was the only boy she had ever met who had read all the same novels as her! He also had the softest brown eyes and deepest smile lines she had ever seen. And although he was leaving after he graduated, Marianne had foolishly let herself fall in love. Sometimes she dreamed about running away with him and travelling the world together. Maybe, just maybe, Sandokan felt the same way too?
Hi and good morning, @justadearie what kind of kinks do you think Sandorianne enjoy? 🤭 Take your time to answer. No rush.
Love the spicy question!
As it stands in canon, I think Marianne and Sandokan would be quite vanilla in their love making—especially at first. But it’s very fun to imagine what kinks they might explore in future. Here are just a few that immediately come to my mind.
1) Hair Pulling: I think this kink goes both ways; Marianne loves to pull Sandokan’s hair and she loves to have her own hair pulled. He usually doesn’t do it on purpose, but sometimes he can’t help himself and that’s what turns Marianne on the most, when he losses control and becomes rough with her.
2) Dom Marianne and Sub Sandokan: He likes giving her power so that she can feel in control. He thinks it’s so godamn sexy when she’s confident and tells him what she wants. They never take it too far into the BDSM relm, but they definitely enjoy exploring it.
3) Breeding Kink: This one might be my own personal taste, but I think at some point Sandokan becomes obsessed with the idea of coming inside Marianne, of watching her belly grow with his child. And Marianne absolutely loves it when he finishes inside of her.
4) Edging: I think they would do a tone of this! They would both be obsessed with trying to draw out their partners pleasure to create the most intense orgasm.
