Do you think Shauna would choose those songs if she made a mixtape for Jackie ? And in that order ?
The yellowjackets playing a fps like Call of/ Battlefield, Shauna getting frustrated with Jackie and say mean things, getting killed, blamed Jackie. Jackie who revived Shauna. Then Shauna telling Jackie that she saw an enemy behind her outside the house. Jackie who turns around and go out but gets killed from behind by an enemy inside the house she just left. Jackie is pised. Even more when noone revived her.
Jackie who stopped playing with them after that. Shauna write in her journal that Jackie is being overdramatic.
Sophie Nelisse in that suit is SO GAY (iykyk). The kind of look that make you think "Yeah it make sense" if just after, you watch one of her interviews were she say she would sometimes ask "So, should we make out?" to her female friends at partiesš (or something like that).
JackieShauna is more Hosie then Hizzie.
Two friends (arguably bestfriends) who had a crush on each other.
And both Hope and Josie are a mix of Jackie and Shauna but for different reasons.
Pre crash Shauna is giving Josie Vibes. Post crash Shauna as Dark Josie or no humanity Hope vibes.
Pre crash Jackie as Originals later season Hope vibes. Prior Legacies.
My opinion.
I'm reading ff on different fandom, different ships on AO3
Tell me why the Yellowjackets fandom is the only one really struggling with proper tagging ? Yall, YES you are supposed to tag enough for people the know what they are signing for BUT if you tag ALL the romance in your ff as MAIN romances, then the tagging becomes POINTLESS because I CAN'T find the ship I want to read about, but I end up scrolling through ff about ships I DON'T want to read about.
I don't have that problem with Hosie/Supercorp/Swanqueen.
But in the yellowjackets fandom, ff are all over the place! I shouldn't have to scroll to find a ff about the pairing I'm looking for when I tagged the pairing!!!! It's drowned into multiple tagged pairing when the story isn't about the one I tagged š.
My theory is that, compared to the others, it's a relatively "young" fandom. And with the arrival of new people to AO3, the misunderstanding of tagging etiquette became an issue.
Please, to all yellowjackets writter. Could you PLEASE stop tagging other pairings like the story is about them when the main romance and story is about one specific pairing?š
You know you dont play much, even less on pc, when the game you have the most playtime on is a game you last played close to 6 years ago.
idk if this has been said before but it's so devastating that we NEVER see jackie smile when she's alone. every single time she's by herself, she looks miserable.
Do you all think Shauna is acting all authoritarian because shes also trying to compensate from what happened with Jackie ?
Like, when she's the antler queen, she as the power to tell them to juste shut the fuck up. To leave something, or someone, alone. Like what she should've done back then. What she wish she had done. What she would do if she had a chance to go back and change things. Be in control and make sure Jackie still breath. Shut everyone up about how Jackie is doing "so little" and make sure everyone just work for her, Shauna, the antler queen, and no one would question the none action of her now shadow, the one SHE as to protect, Jackie. And finally have power over Jackie, like she always wanted, as a sweet bonus.
Shauna would hate to learn I believe most of the things shes done is related to Jackie. Especially because there's a high chance it's true. š¤£
omg the way Shauna remembers Jackie is js so.. š¤¤
Jackieās face is so amazing if I lost her Iād be hallucinating her crazy too like holy fumble
Saw a tiktok about Jackie and her loving or hating rabbits and I have a theory.
My theory is that she did love rabbits, but hated eating them. And her comment was about never expecting she could be desperate enough to eat something she loved. Which is funny because thats what Shauna did. They looked down on her for not wanting to eat a rabbit and not wanting to cut animals up to feed but they did the same with HER. With humans. Like her they went against their principles to survive. They had to do it in a different scale but thats only how they could experience what Jackie felt. She was not meant for that environment, and her limit was way lower then theirs. And they looked down on her for it. For trying to keep her principals. For fighting against survival because it meant admitting the loss of control. And maybe, part of why she stopped eating is because she couldn't eat something she loved when alive.
I love Rhi
I love Shauna x Rhi. And I just thought about something. Realistically, Shauna would obsesse over Rhi even more if she find out about the unaliving Rhi does. After meeting her, she would classify her at "Borring Jackie" and would def be condescending or try to be who she wanted to be with Jackie. Superior. But Rhi would HATE Shauna because of it. And when Shauna find out about her nocturnal activities, she would think she find someone that would accept her and not abandoned her like AJ tried to do because Shauana likes it. But let's be F-ing for real rn, Shauna IS a MASSIVE bully. Rhi HATES bullies. But since Shauna would deem her "Not boring AT ALL" like a reverse Melissa lol, she would start being affectionate while still being wilderness Shauna. 'Cause Shauna is fucked. She wouldn't get the bully thing. And Rhi would be pissed all the F-ing time. She might try to unalive her, more then once, and Shauna would probably dig that š.
Suggestions for ship names anyone?
I nominate SerialButcher.
I think Lottie is spiritual and as a connection that let's her see things. But I also think she might ALSO be schizophrenic. And she can't tell the difference between a genuine vision and a schizophrenic episode. And the fact sometimes she does see things makes it harder for others to differentiate too, since part of the things she predict do happen outside of their direct actions. Which doesn't help her schizophrenia. It actually feeds it. Which also makes it hard for US to know if the wilderness is real or if its Lottie's schizophrenia who made that up. She could've seen things that are true, and heard things that are not, and assumed all were true because some were. The wilderness could just be her schizophrenia telling her her visions, her spirituality, is what connected her to "The Wilderness" and the visions are messages. And it's true. Except her connection to nature is just that, a spiritual connection. Not a conversation, there is no "will" of the wilderness she as to fulfill.
Thats my theory.
I saw Samara Weaving and thought "she could def be an older Jackie even if she looks too young to play older Jackie..." but then I thought, "It tracks tho. Jackie would definitely look younger then her age. And that would piss Shauna off SO MUCH š¤£" Just saying š¤·š¼āāļø
There's a movie called Time trap and the actress playing Georgia from Ginny and Georgia is in it. SHe play Jackie. Another character is called Taylor. Everytime I hear "Jackie! Taylor!" its so funny to me.
you know teachers HATED seeing this lineup
I just realized. Shauna blamed Jackie for her insecurities but she was actually projecting her own patterns and behaviors onto Jackie. She believed that Jackie kept choosing for her because she couldn't do it herself, that Jackie probably looked down on her. But she was the one doing that to Jackie. She chose to believe some meanings she imagined Jackie had behind each words and actions. Looked down on Jackie, created situations where she knew she would hurt Jackie. And she framed it as just her trying to saved herself from a suffocating friendship.
She want just the one who stayed in a friendship she hated. She the one who set that dynamic up. And she did all on her own, alone. Jackie was completely unaware of what was going on. Was let to believe she was doing things right, that she was being a good friend giving advice or talking about boys. Trying to give her opportunities because Shauna was never the kind to go for what she wanted. And yeah, maybe she sometimes did too much and sometimes didn't ask for permission. But I feel like those are just what made Shauna feel like all of her projecting was legitimate. Instead of blaming Jackie for what she DID do wrong when the wrong was done. She imagined other wrongs based on average actions and assimilated the real wrongs to it and put them all in the same bucket. Like every good lie need a bit of truth, she used a part of real Jackie and made it the root of her imaginary Jackie. The root of all her pain and sorrow. The betrayer. The Judas. In Shauna's mind, Jackie became the mirror reflecting Shauna and her own flaws. To not feel like she was the one in the wrong for feeling the way she did, she made Jackie as guilty as her in her head. And to feel legitimate, she made Jackie guiltier so she cool do even worse while still feeling legitimate. She was Judas. She was the betrayer.
But when she shattered that mirror and had to face with everything shes done, and what she lost because of it. It was already to late. Because she had lost everything that mattered. And she had to live with who she was. Which is, a shattered mirror with noone to hold it up. Jackie wasnt there anymore to hold the her or be the subject of her attention and all consuming feelings. And she couldn't admit that maybe she got it all wrong. So she kept believing into the "Jackie is Judas or Satan" lie. Because admitting that Jackie wasn't perfect but was definitely not as bad as she made her to be was too painful knowing how things ended. Admitting her how fault would be too difficult. And she was already in pieces... how would she but them back together. And was would be the point when she doesn't have Jackie to show her progress to ?
Its 03:26 AM so I'm not even sure if I make sense...
Did Shauna thought she should be leader/ antlerqueen because she saw herself as superior. Or because she saw her contribution as important (which, fair enough tbh) as Nat's while also being the one who as the worst job to do (cut up humans) and was basically forced/ used for it and thuse making her more eligible to the antlerqueen status ? š¤
Or both honestly. I think both makes sense. One is subjective and very "Shauna" and the otehr is objectively true. She as the worst status in the camp and gets nothing in return. Wanting the "crown" isn't hard to understand š¤·š¼āāļø
How much of a chance do you think there is that, Shauna as green as her favorite color because Jackie as some green in her eyes and saying "Hazel" would've been too obvious.
And how many times did she get angry in her head when Jackie got the shade of green wrong š¤£
