♡ ~ Vi felt extremely parentified for the majority of her childhood, so she regresses because of that! She missed out on a lot of the carefree, safe and easy times of being a child and is left with a lot of anxiety after the events of Arcane, so her regression is like a second chance for her - letting her experience the moments she missed, as well as let go of responsibility for a bit and be the one taken care of rather than the one caring :)
☆ ~ She and Cait are both flips, so sometimes Cait is her caregiver and other times they regress together and have playdates!
♡ ~ She and Cait were able to salvage her childhood bunny stuffie from the wreck of Jinx's hovercraft after the fight with Noxus, at Vi's insistence. She may have given him to Powder but she's always missed him. He's her precious, precious little guy; Felicia sewed him by hand while pregnant with her, even embroidering her name into his ear to make sure he could never get lost. His name is Scruff. When regressed, Vi is never seen without him - and if she ever is, she's crying. She carries him in the crook of her arm as she toddles around the Kiramman mansion.
☆ ~ Little Vi sometimes struggles to ask for what she needs, so Scruff asks for her!
"Scruff want cuddle..." "Oh, Scruff wants a cuddle? Well, bring him over here, he's only got little legs and he needs his little girl to carry him."
♡ ~ Little Vi really likes to draw. Caitlyn knew this from the time Vi told her how she drew her own tattoos and so she made sure to buy Vi as many art supplies as she could ever dream of! Vi's favourite medium when big is charcoal for stylised sketches, but once she's little she always reaches for the big box of crayons to scribble down more imaginary monsters just like she used to do with Powder.
☆ ~ Speaking of monster games with Powder, Cait remembers Vi telling her about it and started playing it with her before naps. They go back and forth, inventing fierce creatures and telling stories with them. Caitlyn creates a flower monster with vines like octopus legs that tickles Vi's tiny cheeks until she's nothing but giggles.
♡ ~ Vi loves to read. Caitlyn reads to her a lot when little, curled up in a criminally soft armchair together (and with Scruff, of course). Vi likes to be involved rather than just spoken at; Caitlyn reads slowly, line by line, leaving pauses for Vi to repeat after her like a little echo, breaking down the bigger words into phonics for her baby to babble back without stress.
"Five," "'ive," "Was named Ellis." "Wab n'med Ewis." "He slept," "'e sept," "On the tr-el-lis." "On da... tr-el-lis."
☆ ~ Caitlyn calls her 'little flower', 'petal', and sometimes 'little hedgehog', since Vi's hair spikes look like hedgehog prickles. Vi doesn't really see Caitlyn as a mama or a sister caregiver - she's just Caitlyn. The only experience Caitlyn has with children is being a babysitter for Marcus' daughter, so, if she had to label it, Vi sees her a bit like that: the trusted, fun babysitter who feels like family since you see her so often.
♡ ~ She can be a rowdy little munchkin when she's full of energy. She likes to run around outside in the sunshine and climb the huge trees in the Kiramman gardens, play swordfighting with the coolest sticks she can find, getting muddy and dirty with scraped knees and palms... Once she's worn out, Caitlyn has to carry her back inside, getting her all cleaned up with a warm bubble bath and putting puppy-dog plasters over her grazes, before bundling her up in a cocoon of blankets and snuggling down for sleep.
☆ ~ Vi starts to miss the old arcade she and her siblings used to play in, reminded of the fun days she had there when smaller, so Caitlyn hires a team of experts to repair it just as Vi remembers it - what's the point of having her family's fortune if not to spend it spoiling her little baby? Once it's back up and running, they spend free afternoons there together at Vi's request, as if it's their little secret safe haven. The boxing game is of course still her favourite and she still holds every place on the top score leaderboard, despite Caitlyn's best efforts. However, Caitlyn always wins the shooting game Powder used to play!
