Off-Camera Adam SNL Moments
A couple between-skit/Bts moments have stuck with me so let me share…
- I already mentioned how one woman would run up and grab his hand after every skit to hustle him off to change costumes, but can’t stress how cute it was to see him running around with her, like 2 feet taller and holding hands
- Wardrobe people took a second adjusting his suit before the coffee shop skit. It was literally someone’s job to touch his chest fixing the necklace so it laid right. Also this skit happened directly in front of me and omg whenever he stood up - That silk shirt under the jacket fit veryyy nicely and accented how broad he is and I STILL can’t get over the little ponytail. And they only showed it briefly on the broadcast but the makeout with Cecily Strong was FULL ON
-Sometimes he’d be in his mark already, while people around him prepped final things. People would come tell him something or he’d ask a question and he’d bend down to listen super attentively with an almost concerned expression like “omg gotta make sure I listen and get this just right”
- Every time he was in casual clothes (intro’ing Kanye twice, the closing goodbye) they were all dark from head to toe and he looked damn STUNNING. (Probably hence why I lost all self-control and shouted out my love to him :’)) Dear god, before the goodbyes, he was the first one on stage and just stood there for a good minute with his hands in his pockets watching the camera and just….. Damn. Tall and the perfect mix of lean/buff and that HAIR and just. Damn.
- I mentioned this before too but before the phone shop skit that got cut, he stood there for a minute in that red polo shirt that granted us the holy gift of his arms and pecs, and while he stood there looking really focused or preparing himself or whatever, he hand-combed his hair back several times and it was one of the most divine things I will ever witness.
-When Adam and the whole cast gathered on stage for the goodbyes, Adam and Kanye were at the front of the stage together and shared what seemed like a slightly stilted handshake. Honestly, all the props to Adam after Kanye was so disrespectful to him leading up to the show. It was so weird and surreal seeing them standing together, like you could not have two more completely different people.
- While Kanye did his third song at the end, Adam stepped off stage but was still visible standing right next to it. He was chatting a little bit with some of the SNL cast, then leaned against a wall next to him much like this pose:
And looked like a damn snacc model. I can’t imagine anything more striking and tall and swoon-worthy. Like halfway through the song Adam walked towards the back of the studio floor to talk with a few tech-looking people. A couple seconds later Kanye started going “Hands up hands up” to the crowd and Adam, being the gracious professional he is, turned back to the stage and spent like 30 seconds doing big claps over his head that were an awkward, charming gift to witness :’)
