I think for a lot of people “I am completely helpless and powerless” and “I am completely powerful and in control” are both basically comforting fantasies because most of us live our lives in an in between place where we have enough agency to be responsible for our actions but not enough agency to have true control over our lives and the tension between power and powerlessness in the day to day is psychologically wearing and exhausting

Ukulele Personnel File, did you ever come up with names for the rest of Clefs UNGOC squadmates in Strike Team Lancealot? I'm writing a flashback scene that takes place during the 1982 mission for a fanfic und I've been curious for years!

I'm struggling to answer this question, OP, because the truth is, I never thought of any of this. SCP fans seem to think that the entirety of Clef's backstory and world sprung fully formed from my brain like Athena leaping out of her father's split-open skull, but it's really more like this:

In my opinion, it's usually best not to sweat what the "canon" is (which is mostly stuff that other people have made up before you), and use whatever characters, backstory, and events work best for your version of the character.
