36. risking your life for someone

She could hear him distinctly. Peter kept repeating those very same words over and over and she could hear him. Despite it all, it was a decision made.

He’d once been here, the very same situation, risking his life so that his team could live, so that she could live free of Thanos and his madness. Although, somehow, his sacrifice did not mean his death, it was nonetheless something he once was willing to give to those he loved.

And now it was her turn to do something for those she loves, her family.

This was nothing compared to a burning sun, to fire destroying the fibers of her skin slowly. This was nothing her fast healing and metabolism could fix. This would be eternal torment, this would be death itself.
