Bacchino Malato (Caravaggio, 1593)
My favourite thing about this post is that someone saw those photos of that cat and went “ah yes, I know exactly which 15th century Baroque painting this reminds me of”
please stop asking me how i'm doing, idk i'm ignoring it
fyi things like insulin, hearing aids, wheelchairs, glasses costing money at all is a form of structural ableism
disabled people should not have to pay to live their lives like everyone else. and in the case of insulin, disabled people should not have to pay to Not Fucking Die
soooo fox news are trying to create what’s essentially a hotline for parents to out lgbt educators and lgbt kids in school situations and im not saying that you should flood it with as much cursed images and gay shit as possible to make it impossible for them to receive any actual messages that may threaten peoples livelihoods….but also the email for it is in the linked tweet…. soooooo…. 😚✌️
further suggestions:
it's an email address. sign them up for every goddamn newsletter and advertising list you can possibly find. sign them up for club penguin. throw this email into every website you can think of.
email automatically filters out potential spam - try to spell words correctly and avoid leetspeak, using too many symbols, using symbols instead of letters, and links.
i doubt they have any specific content filtering set up right now, but they probably will if enough people do this. try to avoid any meme-y words, or vocabulary that primarily leftists use. depending on how sophisticated they make their filter, if you can use terminology that a "concerned parent" would use, it might whitelist you.
I'd highly recommend using a burner email for this, and not your real email address. not only for anonymity's sake, but also because if they block your address, you can just open a new one. just try not to make it a string of numbers, anything resembling spambot-speak, etc, just like the body of your messages.
EDIT: several people in the notes have said to put fake stories that end without anything actionable (no names, no locations, nothing they can use to out anybody). this way, you waste their time by forcing them to actually read your email, before they realize they've been had. I'd also like to add that however you end your story, make it obvious that you're trolling. if you make it too convincing, they may share the story anyway like "SEE, teachers ARE evil!!" even if they can't pin it on a real person. make your story long (!!!) and convincing, and end it with your shrek memes.
the email is [email protected] btw

from “that’s my girl” to “that’s my wife”
from "come over" to "come home"
genuine props to this publication for finding such a stark, simple, provocative way to say... all of it
anyway! the banana bread vendor at the farmers market is called "better than sex" but this year they changed it to "almost better than sex" which means the bread is just worse this year or girlie got some good dick since last summer
MY TA SHOT SOMEONE IN THE FOOT AND THE PROFESSOR WAS SO FUCKING QUICK LMAOOO
some context
1. my TA, Ralph, shot his girlfriend’s abusive ex in the foot
2. abusive ex was also a sex offender
3. he shot him when ex came buy to pick some stuff up from girlfriend and tried to take some of Ralph’s items as well
4. ex is stable and alive in a hospital
5. i didn’t do assignment 8 so i am very happy
some more Facts About Ralph
he is whiter then snow. this man is pure 100% american redneck in everything but the politics. this is intimidating if you dont know him because he owns like 3 different guns but also has animated discussions about “how his sister should be able to get married” when you bring up lgbt rights. his sister isnt even gay or trans or anything, he just thinks that LGBT rights also means that the lady should propose when she wants to. hes a little confused but he got the spirit. upon finding out that i am queer he said, word for word “THATS FUCKING RADICAL HOMIE”
in the first week of school he snorted a line of pepper in the cafeteria and threw up.
the only other crime hes committed before was accidently dropping a weight from his balcony and cracking the sidewalk. which is technically destruction of public property but the judge basically laughed at him and have him 10 hours of community service
this man once walked me home when i stayed late at the lab and talked to me animatedly about breeding brine shrimp for different lab purposes. absolutely captivated by this discussion. i trust him with my life
oh mg god this post somehow got better
We love Ralph in this chemistry department
i will never stop reblogging this how the fuck did she slide against the wall so perfectly
America is absolutely disconnected to meat
I think I realized this when I had went to see my dad and stepmom one day and asked if I could place my hawk’s food. (A rabbit leg) in the freezer. My step mom was disgusted by the idea that a leg from an animal was in the freezer meanwhile an entire chicken was sitting in the fridge.
Your rotisserie chicken is an entire chicken.
Your pork chop is a hunk of pig.
Your rack of ribs are from a cow’s rib cage.
It’s like Americans view meat as colorful red and pink hued shapes that just exist and come into the world packaged.
You see so many people getting harassed or even having their content flagged for showing how to process or field dress meat when it’s at it’s freshest. Right after culling. For some reason this is considered “gore” by many folks when in reality it’s no more different from plucking a processed chicken after cull.
You also notice that Americans have an idea of what’s normal meat and what isn’t normal meat and there’s racist undertones that I’ve noticed in a lot of these comments left on foreign cooking videos
You have people that claim a video of a man in a different country preparing something like this is “eating a dog.” Meanwhile this is roasted goat.
You have people who’s only perception of an edible fish is in fillet or fish stick form and they call something like this nasty because “Eww there’s a head!” Yeah.. most animals have heads..
Some of ya’ll need to realize what your meat looks like prior to processing and that it’s prepared in different ways. We also need to erase the stigma behind non traditional meats.
Truly, genuinely, as an indigenous person I talk about this exact thing a LOT! Like, don't get me wrong I get a bit squicked when dressing a chicken or gutting and cleaning a fish, lord knows I had really mixed feelings the first time I saw a deers throat slit (I thought it was cruel, until my elder asked me if I would have preferred to let it suffer instead) The truth of the matter is that animals and humans are intertwined. We are food to one another, that's the way of the world and I think people forget that when we champion for humane treatment of animals and when we rail against factory farming we need to remember that removing death is not the goal, removing undue suffering it.
yesterday i was talking to a Guy and i asked what time it was and he git really excited and said "time for you to get aaaaa.... SUNDIAL!!" and then started talking about sundials and sounding like a fucking commercial and i pointed out that sundials have to be in one specific spot to work and he got all nervous and asked if i've tried a sextant. what the fuck
not to sound like Sundial Salesman Guy but … he’s lowkey right, if you’re in a place with a fair amount of sunlight. two weeks ago i was hanging out with a little kid when she wondered aloud what time it was. i looked at the sun, adjusted my body a bit, put my elbow on the ground with the arm up perpendicular, and told her “it’s about 12:45.”
then she had to get a watch to see if i was right (pretty much — it was 12:50), and then i found myself explaining cardinal directions and sundials to a preschooler
ANYWAY MY POINT IS that no, sundials don’t require a fixed place for efficiency, only enough sun to cast a shadow & awareness of your relative direction, and knowing this is great but going on about it makes you sound horny for ancient Rome
if you don't know how to make a sundial but need a guesstimate on how much daylight is left, hold your hand out at arm's length horizontally and count how many fingers fit between the sun and the horizon. it's about 15 minutes a finger.
literally all you people sound insane to me
hey. hey microsoft word i have something to tell you. come closer. closer.
fuck off
idk who needs to hear this today, but don't go lurking on ex friends and partners. nothing you see or read will make you feel better there. all you're doing is hurting your own feelings. leave them in the past and do your best to move on with your own life, to make what you have now happier rather than dwelling on things that used to be (:
