My #ootd on Friday when we went to Calgary Stampede. I know I could’ve tried better for the western theme but I have too much summer clothes that is forgiving to the 30C weather. Next time maybe I’ll wear my cowboy boots and hat :)

So yesterday, Josze and I celebrated our 48th month (4yrs) as a couple. ❤️❤️ We're not the type to go all out on celebrating anniversaries (partly because we are poor lol) so we decided to just have a little dinner out on the patio. We baked/cooked/broiled scallop medallion for starter, kare kare and crispy pata for main, and creme brulee for dessert, just some of our fave dishes. Even the dips were made from scratch *proud* Before bedtime, Josze played and sang "All of Me" by John Legend as we exchanged cards as presents. The day was perfect in its simplest way, with just him, myself and our love. :)

Octopuses are going to kill us all someday

I had a biology teacher that told us this story about an octopus at an aquarium in Australia. The staff were concerned because their population of crustaceans kept disappearing. No bodies or anything. So they checked the video feed to find out what’s up.

Across from the the crustacean tank was a small octopus tank. This little fucker squeezed out of a tiny hole at the top of his tank, walk across the hall, and get into the crustacean tank. He would then hunt and eat. After he was done, he crawled back out and get back in his tank

Here’s the kicker: security guards patrolled the area. The staff realized that the octopus had memorized the security’s routine. It would escape and be back between the guards’ round.

An octopus in Germany was annoyed by a bright light shining into his tank, so he climbed up over the rim and squirted water at it to short it.

"'Tis the time for spring cleaning" Every year, I manage to collect more clothes than my closet and dressers can manage. So twice a year I do a 'clean-up', once before summer and once before winter. I always have 3-4 bins ready; 1-2 for clothes that are ready to be donated or given away and 1-2 for clothes that are not in season. For example, I am a HUGE fan of wearing shorts...no..actually more like collecting shorts. (And swimwear, but that's another story) Currently, I own more than 30 pairs and I only wear about 1/4 (pictured) of that in summer (given that I never really get enough chance in Calgary anyways). And I manage to keep that number even though I give away half every year. It's really bad 😔. The hangers are from dresses, coats and sweaters that are to be given away. In general, it takes me a full day or two to reorganize my closet. Its frustrating, sad and tiring but at the same time I have fun trying on clothes that I either have not seen for a while or not remember having at all! Lol. It's hard to be a girl sometimes.

Today was one of those got-nothing-better-to-do days, so the boyfie and I decided to bother Uncle Jung. Best decision ever! Lunch (sizzling sisig and marinated pork chop) was served complete with appetizer and dessert (on such short notice!) The rest of the day we went house hunting and as fun as that was, conversing with sales reps like we got funds to actually purchase a property, it was a very tiring day! I think the weather contributes to our drained energies. It was too sunny! We're Calgarians, we're not used to it..yet. After all, it has only been a few days since it stopped snowing. Boy, I tell ya!
