hallelujah as skating music:

sudden epiphany that it really only works for skaters/teams that are equal parts power and grace. it falls flat otherwise. it’s so overdone and overheard at this point that it needs the skater to inject a personal voice, like sui and han’s speed and charisma or mariah bell’s effusiveness. unsure if hubbell/donohue have that extra quality to their program yet....

i don’t understand all the anger around the isu awards. they simply don’t matter? even if they aren’t favorable towards yuzuru, are you telling me that it is some great injustice in the world that a man worth 15 million dollars with the largest figure skating fan base in the world and literally all the achievements there are to have in the skating world isn’t getting enough recognition just bc the isu doesn’t bow down toward him? perspective. i understand that it’s frustrating that his bio left out important information, but what harm does this actually cause? he is one person, and at the end of the day he will be fine. we should stop acting like this is the end of the world!
