"Years ago, in college, in one of my art classes, a professor used Norman Rockwells "The Problem We All Live With" (which showed a small black girl being escorted to school by US Marshals) as a sample of the influence and importance of art and imagery in our lives." "That image was and still is a very powerful one. Rockwell painted it after seeing Alabama governor George Wallace blocking black students from entering a school."
