why would i need a son? (i've been blessed with three daughters)

No one could tell Zuko that he wasn't a lucky man. True, his advisors lamented the lack of a son to "carry on" the royal bloodline but they did so behind their sleeves where neither he or his wife could hear them. Because no one in this world, or the Spirit, could tell him he was unfortunate.

Toph gave him three children. Three wonderful, beautiful daughters.

His dear Izumi who he loved from the moment the scalding heat of her body touched his arms. He could remember trying to coax her body to cool, to remind her with the warmth of his own that she didn't need to burn for the world to know she was there. No matter what, her father would always look for her and care for her with his entire heart.

Then there was his sweet Lin, the earth beneath his feet. She was steadfast and so sincere, and so eager to grow up faster than she should be. But in his arms, she would always be his little girl. The one who tried to not be too eager when he returned to Republic City, but was the last to let go of him. The one who lied bold-facedly that the kitchens were busy so she was the only one able to bring him a cup of tea when he worked long in his study. The one he loved to make laugh and smile, to see truly happy and grungy and so unbearably sweet.

And his adorable Suyin, the very essence of his soul. She was such a clever little girl. Prone to mischief, yes, but she wasn't unkind. Just curious and eager to know things. Oh, she stole her fair share of snacks from the kitchens and played tricks on the scammers who tried to take advantage of her youth and general wealthiness. But she shared his love for theatre, and was always eager to have him watch her dance. His heart clenched at every stumble, every chance that she could fall, but his girl was tough. She'd get up and try again, and he would never be able to look away.

So yes, he was fortunate. He was a father of three daughters, and no metaphorical son would compare to that.

I said I’d give a detailed account of what happened after my little break from social media. So, I’m doing fine now. I’ve pulled myself together, went out into nature, had a delicious meal, and took lots of beautiful photos of the outdoors. My loved ones supported me and helped me get out of that unpleasant state.

I’ll admit, those comments about pedophilia really… got to me. Why? Because I’m one of the most ardent haters of pedophiles. And when I was lumped in with those disgusting people just because of one harmless drawing of mine, it made me feel sick. I really tried to hold it together and ignore the haters. I handled it perfectly in the SasuHina fandom and ignored the haters... But recently this year, two people wrote something unpleasant and horrible to me (I don’t want to say it out loud). And then in the Avatar fandom, it became my last straw, and I... couldn’t hold back. I didn’t want to go online, and I didn’t want to give the haters the satisfaction of showing them that they really did make me cry 😅 But now I’m talking about it because I’m not ashamed to talk about how I feel. Because the only people who should feel ashamed are those crazy haters. Although most of these haters have no moral principles, and they don’t care who they hurt. They just need to selfishly vent all their negativity on others. And that’s why I don’t care how they feel either.

So, I’m feeling better now! And I’ve strengthened my resilience once again 💪✨
