she really wasn’t sure how she’d gotten here. most of the day was a blue— probably from the mix of alcohol and weed she’d consumed— and she was laying on the ground in a space just a bit away from the main area of pride. her gaze was locked, albeit fuzzy, on the sky above, one hand holding a solo cup, and the brushing gently over the grass next to her. she loved pride. she loved that it was here, that she wouldn’t have to travel for it. maybe she wouldn’t have to leave everwood. maybe she could stay here for the rest of her life and actually be satisfied. “ha, yeah right,” she mumbled, not even realizing she’d spoken out loud.
he was running around like a maniac, enjoying the pride that everyone else seemed to go crazy over. sure, he liked boys, he liked girls, he liked anything he could get his hands on, he didn’t really see anything special about it. but if it was a chance for celebration, he was gonna take it. seeing one of his friends, he grinned, jumping over with a red cup of his own. “ yeah right, what, maggie? ” he chuckled at the name.
