“We are hurt by the deaths resulting of drug trafficking and terrorism.  Between 2010 and 2018 our country saw 189 homicides and between 2019 and 2020 34 of that same nature.  We’ll continue battling the FARC, ELN, Clan of the Golf and other cartels.”

The president is comparing the previous 8 years (2010-2018) with 1 year (2019-2020) so if we multiply the numbers for that one year to forecast a total of 8 we would have 272 Homicides.
