I finally finished this anime. This is my third time watching it from the beginning, but only the first time finishing it. The other two times I took a break from watching any anime in the middle of the series. I'm glad I finally got to the end. It was such a nice anime. I think I need to read the manga of it now.
+Pluses+
+ Characters. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love it when anime have multiple characters. They're all pretty distinct from each other in this, except for the fact that basically all of them want the main male lead (and only male human) as their lover. Being a harem anime, there's plenty of girls to pick your otp from.
+ Animal characters. Always fun to have animals. Look at K-On!'s Ton-chan, Tamako Market's Dera, and basically all Pokemon. In this anime, all of them are awesome. They can talk and have awesome names like Kuma-Kuma ("Bear-Bear") and Inu-Inu ("Dog-Dog"). Yeah those are just Yukino's animals, but meh. Tonkatsu's name is cool too ("Breaded Pork Cutlet).
+ Not really fan-service-y. It's there, but really for comedic effect due to Ikuto's trying not to be a complete pervert. Though pretty much every straight guy in the world would most probably let loose in his position.
+ Hilarious at times.
+ Them mushrooms... You know which ones I'm talking about...
-Minuses-
- The other girls (aka for me, everyone who's not Suzu). They can get really annoying sometimes blocking my ship... XD
- The ending. They couldn't just let them be? I know some people prefer it to end this way so that no one's feelings get hurt. But there was soooo much hinting in the last few episodes.
- Ikuto's non-believer attitude. So. Annoying.
- The OP and ED. They weren't bad, but they didn't make me want to sit through them like K-On! and Tamako Market's did. Especially the second ending. Insta-skipped after I heard it the first time.
All in all, a really good anime. Heck I tried to finish it three times. And I realized that I really like KyoAni produced anime with two mentions of two of their anime. Also, I want to try mame daifuku.
Wow. Didn't expect to be doing another so soon. It really should've crossed my mind during the GuP review since I was so close to finishing the game. But yeah, I completed the story today. I must say, for my first 3ds game, I liked it a lot. Can't wait to get more, especially with PCN season starting, meaning me being at school longer, meaning less time to play console games. Probably gunna pick up Fire Emblem and/or Etrian Odessy and/or a whole bunch of 3ds games I want. But now's not the time to think about that. Let's go Pokemon!

+ Pokemon. Just the fact that it is Pokemon is awesome.
+ Story. Was pretty good. Good plot twist. Got me tearing up at the end a little. I think it was a good length too. Took a week for me to complete, but I spent a lot of time in companion mode/magnagate dungeons. After finishing it I kinda wanna play the other ones. Played the first one but never finished it. I hear it has a really good ending as well.
+ Gameplay. I like the fact that you are actual pokemon in the mystery dungeons. Dunno if you could in the other ones, but the fact that you can control every one you befriend (aka capture) is cool.
+ Hunger is gone. At least for most of it. There's a few post-story dungeons that have it, but I remember it was such a hassle in the first one for me. At least I think it was that game. XD
+ Building. You can pretty much build your own town. You can build fields and shops and training dojos and a few minigames. I love games that build towns (Dark Cloud 1 and 2, Suikoden II, Sim City, etc.) so yeah.
+ Minigames. Pretty easy, pretty fun. And you get some pretty good stuffs from them too.
+ Shipping. I couldn't help myself but ship a bunch of pokemon together. Kinda weird since it's pokemon, but meh. Let's see... Minccino and Rampardos, Virizion and Emolga, Umbreon and Espeon, Swanna and Gurdurr, and for a while my character (Oshawott) with my partner (Tepig). I say for a while because I saw Tepig as a female and my character as a male but they started to call Tepig a he. Not that I find anything wrong with homosexuality, but honestly, I have a hard time shipping guys together. (Haven't watched enough anime with strong guy-guy relationships to do that)
+ Multiplayer. I can play with my girlfriend~ (Though we got destroyed the first time we tried. Can't wait to try again since we both completed the story)

- Talking. Jeez there's so much talking. A little too much. And the fact that you can't make the words pop up faster makes it so long even to just talk to shopkeepers, especially the "travelling sales-mon". They all say the exact same thing throughout the whole game, and it takes like 3 whole bubbles of text to get to their shop menu. Despite this, every time I progressed the story, I still talked to everyone I could. It was actually nice to see their stories progress too. It just took so long.
- Not every pokemon is in there. It's understandable though since there are so many pokemon. Only 144 though? And mostly fifth gen. I don't have anything against the fifth gen. Just the fact that it's "mostly". It would've been understandable if it were "only fifth gen, but all of them", but it's not. I mean, Starmie? Wooper/Quagsire? Azurill/Marill/Azumarill? Why? Did they have a significant part in the earlier games or something like Wingull/Pelipper (well, just bringing you the main but meh)?
- Only 5 starters. Apparently there were 16 in the first two, 19 in the third, and 27(!) in the fourth (though it was on the Wii). I also kinda wanted to take the quiz in the beginning instead of just choosing which one I wanted like the first ones.
- Teammate AI. Pretty stupid sometimes. There were times when going around a corner or something that one of them just randomly goes the other way. They're not even chasing an enemy (they don't use their far range attacks). There were also times where they kill themselves using a self-damaging move (e.g. Take down)
And that's all I can think of right now. Overall, really good. Had a lot of fun and will have a lot more with it. Can't wait to play some more once I post this. This game also makes me want Pokemon X/Y even more than I already wanted it.
Haven't done a review-thing in a long while (or been on tumblr for that matter). Might as well do one for this. Note that I haven't read the manga, only watched the anime. Aaannyways.
Weird title. Great show. This anime is literally about girls... and tanks... More specifically a girl who had a bad experience with "Sensha-do" (pretty much tank battles, but no one really gets hurt) that moves schools to get away from it, but ends up having to do it anyway. More and more girls come in to the picture (and I mean a LOT of girls) and they all go participate in a national competition.
+Pluses+
+ Lots of characters. Dunno why but I like it when there's a bunch of different characters.
+ Not really any fan service. It was really refreshing for me to have an anime with a bunch of girls that didn't have butts and boobs flying at me the whole time. Not that I don't like that, but every anime doesn't need it.
+ Lots of tanks. Scratch that last one, if you really like tanks I guess 'cause there's lots of fan service for you if you do. So many people who play World of Tanks in the comments section of each video going crazy over the tanks in the episode.
+ Tank battles. Those were freaking awesome. The strategies used and the animation for them were so good. Couldn't help but cheer them on. Just wish they actually showed that one battle instead of it being over in like 2 seconds.
+ Their enemies. Aka the other high schools. It's awesome how they're Japanese schools stylized with countries. (I think? I mean it supposedly is a national competition, not a world.)
+ Tank drifting. 'Nuff said.
+ Many of the seiyuus aren't really known. Even some of the main characters(ie. the lead character). All of them did a good job, so this should be a good start for them.
+ The Russians singing... Not so much a plus nor a minus actually, I just wanted to say, Where the hell did that come from?
-Minuses-
- Too many characters, so little time. It would've been so awesome if it was a 26 episode rather than a 12 in my opinion. That way they could have had an episode dedicated to each of the other tanks, giving some sort of back story and time to actually remember at least some of their names. I had a hard time remembering which team had which tank. All I remember is the main characters had the main tank, the freshmen had the light tank, and the history people had the short tank that couldn't revolve. I know the other teams, but not their tanks. Yeah there were the specials, but that wasn't enough for me.
- The last squads to join them were just thrown in. Barely any introduction at all.
- The Anglerfish dance... Funny to watch, but at the same time embarrassing to watch. (Actually, after watching clips of it again I'm not sure if it's a minus anymore.)
I can't really think of anything else. It's late and I'm tired. I also probably should watched the first ten again before the last two because of the 3 month break in between before I wrote this, but meh. Probably will watch it again just because. And read the manga... Overall though it was a good watch.
Just had a thought. What if at the end of the last episode of How I Met Your Mother, Future Ted says "And that kids, is how I met your mother." Then the kids start to leave and the mother chimes in and says, "Wait, don't you want to hear how I met your father?" And then it goes to black screen/credits.
Sighh... I am not a solo top person (nor a jungler at that). It didn't help that I was 1v2 at top. Though our team comp was pretty weird in the first place too. Fiddlesticks mid, and I usually think of fid as a jungler, and vlad as "support". (I went solo top Riven, Jax Jungled, and Ashe as adc) I think that game was the first game I solo topped too actually. Maybe I should try to play those roles more often. I'm just so comfortable supporting. It irks me how Vlad was yelling at me that he was support when I first picked Nami. Would've been an okay team comp too I guess. (With jungle Fid, Jax top, Vlad mid, Ashe and Nami bot)
Anyway, maybe I'll make yet another smurf account to practice top/jungle. Who knows. It'll give me a chance to practice tanks too since I never play them either.
Awesome concept for Unown evolutions. You get each by having Unowns in your party that spell out “WHALE”, “SPIDER”, “GIANT”, or “BIRD” and touching a specific tablet in-game.

Okay I think this is why I like playing bots more than normal. Generally, people are much friendlier. I played 5-6ish normal games today and I had friendly people in none of them (and won only one). One game I was getting bashed on by my teammates and I didn't even know what I was doing wrong. They didn't tell me either. They just kept exclaiming that "This Janna sux", "Janna was the reason we lost", "Janna blahblahblah". (I was Janna) Games are meant to have fun with, and I was NOT having fun. Then I go play one co-op game and my team was saying such simple things like "ty" and "nice!" and "gj" to everyone. It was such a better playing environment. Yeah co-op games are less intense, but still, politeness does go a long way. I also remember a time when I was playing Annie and there was a random person as Amumu and we were rp'ing in game. Funny as hell. Creeped out the other players a little bit, but still hella funny.
Moral of the story: Co-op LoL is kinda like Teemo. All cutesy, fun, and nice, with a dark side of mass-murdering killing the other team.
