especially if it like. looks one-sided except it's not. your F/O rejects you not because they don't have feelings for you (they do) but they feel it's what's best for you. they are so Consumed by their own Flaws that they honestly believe you deserve better than them
bonus points if they don't even tell you they have feelings for you. why? they don't want you to waste time trying to make a relationship work. not when they feel it's so unsalvageable because of their Flaws.
and they act like they're disinterested in you in That Way but actually they low-key burn with jealousy when you have another love interest. but they can't say anything. they won't say anything. they want you to find happiness but you Won't Find It with Them. that path is Doomed. in their mind
i've literally never seen this dynamic represented anywhere in the selfship or yume community
