JONATHAN WESTWOOD ( HE/HIM ) is a CIS MALE, THIRTY-SIX year old PRESCHOOL TEACHER who has been living in Moorbrooke for SEVEN YEARS. They were born on FEBRUARY 14TH and right now, they are currently residing in REDGRAVE GROVE. It has been said that they look suspiciously like SEBASTIAN STAN and if they had to choose a song to describe themselves, they would choose THE 1 by TAYLOR SWIFT.

& he’s bri’ish, born and raised in oxford -- he moved to moorbroke 7 years ago in search for something new in his life

& he’s an only child but he wishes he had a couple of siblings, preferably younger

& he absolutely adores kids, hence why he knew for years that he was going to become a teacher ever since he was old enough to decide on his future

& he absolutely loves his kids and he always gives it a 100% when he’s with them 

& he also has a samoyed named olaf -- his kids named him and he takes him to work because they absolutely love him and thankfully nobody in his class is allergic

& he also cooks and bakes like the dream

“His name is Buster and every–” Jim paused as the other cut him short, instructing him to quieten down. Was Jon really that much of a lightweight? Sheesh. “Oh mate, are you really that pissed up?” He couldn’t help but to laugh as he continued to nurse his own liquor quite well, before showing the other gent his cell, a photo of a huge german shepard on screen. “Could you resist that face, mate? Only problem is, my apartment is rented and I dunno if the landlord will agree to me rescuing him..”

‘oh, shut up, mate,’ jon rolled his eyes and shoved the other playfully. perhaps spending most of his days around three-year-olds did have an effect on his... drinking capabilities. perhaps. his expression quickly softened when he saw the picture of the pup, honestly more interested in the four-legged companion than in jim. ‘aw, he’s so precious,’ he smiled, nodding along the other’s words. ‘well, you can always guilt-trip them by sending them sad pictures of buster. or come live with me and olaf,’ jon added, half-serious and half-joking.

all gus could do was laugh. “you think by now your body would actually be used to all this by now. my trick to avoiding a hangover is to not sleep until after i’ve had a gallon of water and at least 4 ibuprofen.” he mused. “i think half your attention was more useful but i was asking which of these cocktails should be the winter signature drink of the new year.”

“my body was used to it when i was in my 20′s. now it’s cracking when i move my neck wrong,” jon chuckled, despite feeling like he did. he hummed when the other shared his hangover remedy, “yeah, it actually makes sense,” he nodded. “winter signature drinks, huh?” jonathan’s attention perked up a little bit at those words but he scrunched his nose up a bit. “but you’re not making me taste test them, are you?”

the perks of a small, friendly town was that even when you didn’t know someone, it was likely okay to trust them. at least teddy always did. everyone in moorbrooke was kind and it was so rare to find someone downright terrible. teddy didn’t think twice to hold out the extra smoothie to the stranger. ‘i’ve got an extra smoothie if you’d like. some sort of kale concoction. pineapple and strawberries and kale they said. i’m actually a little allergic to pineapple so i can’t drink it. the barista at nourish said i could have it and yeah..’ they said with a smile, sipping happily from their own smoothie.

jonathan only burst out with bubbly laughter when teddy handed him their extra smoothie. ‘ted, you’re such an idiot. why did you even get two of them?’ he asked but there was no heat behind his words -- just friendly banter. ‘honestly, if i wasn’t there to keep an eye on you, you’d be long dad,’ he took a sip of the smoothie and let out a hum. ‘huh, that’s actually nice. i’m not a big fan of kale, though. it tastes too much like grass.”

“sorry.” remy murmurs apologetically, pushing the cup of coffee towards jonathan. “drink this. you’ll feel better.” well, maybe. remy was definitely one of those people who drank far too many cups of coffee and thought that it could fix almost anything. “it’s alright. i was just asking how you were, but i think you answered that question already. rough night?” 

‘no, it’s fine. it’ll be a lesson for the future for me,’ jonathan gave the other man a smile as he accepted the coffee. he took a sip, the warm liquid immediately making him feel little bit better, ‘thanks mate,’ he nodded, holding the cup in his hands. ‘kind of. but it’s my fault for thinking i’m twenty-something again,’ jon explained and looked up at remy. ‘how are you doing?”

“please, lower your voice,” jonathan let out a groan as the other kept talking to him, and frankly, he barely even had any idea what they were talking about. he barely knew what was his name. “drinking this much at my old age is way too dangerous and i’m going to be hungover for two weeks now,” he mumbled and looked up at his companion, giving them an apologetic smile. “sorry, you have my full attention now, what were you telling me?”

“Mind him? Oh he’s an angel!” Fantine cooed. She loved animals, dogs especially. She couldn’t help but laugh at the samoyed’s pitiful face, as if Fantine was to save him from the betrayal of his owner. “how dare you! i don’t think you deserve to be forgiven,” she teased, smiling warmly. she was about to take a treat before spotting the lens of a camera in a bush nearby. “This is not directed at you,” she told the man before holding up her middle finger. The paparazzo wasn’t going to make any money off that photo.

  “he really is,” jon agreed with a laugh because how could he disagree? especially when olaf was giving him that look, it was hard not to give in. perhaps that was also why he was the most spoiled dog in the entire state. he was about to say something but was distracted by the other’s behaviour. “what the hell was that?” he furrowed his brows as he turned his gaze towards her.

Audrey had been known to get herself into more than a few scrapes in pursuit of a dog, but this one… this one took the cake. She’d taken one look at the dog and been so wrapped up in the idea of petting him that she’d hardly registered the voice before it was too late. “Oh, I didn’t…” Her voice faltered as she retracted her hand. “Hi, Jonathan,” she muttered embarrassment thick in her voice. She’d avoided seeing him as much as possible in the years since they’d broken up. Since she’d run out on their wedding, she corrected. It had been no small feat, all things considered, but she’d thought that that would be best for both of them. Now, somehow, she’d managed to come face to face with no where to hide, all because she’d seen an adorable dog. “You look good. Well. You look like you’re doing well.”

jonathan let out a breath when it got to him who was he speaking to. he wasn’t even surprised, he knew his ex fiancée well enough to know that olaf was definitely the kind of pup to immediately get her attention. “hey there, audrey,” he nodded, using all his strength not to call her by her nickname. even though it had been well over two years and he considered himself ‘moved on’, it still hurt seeing her face to face. after all, audrey was the person he wanted to spend the rest of his life with -- it wasn’t going to be easy to just forget that and move on like nothing happened. “he likes you,” he nodded at his dog who was still booping into her, demanding attention and waggling his tail excitedly. “so...” he bit on his bottom lip. “how have you been?”

“Ahh fu— fudge,” Saraya exclaimed, biting her lip at the near slip. She’d been working on cursing less ever since Gabriel’s teacher had heard him using an adult word. Ray rolled her eyes at the word. She would’ve praised him for using it in the correct context, but apparently that wasn’t something that a good parent did. She dabbed at the stain that was beginning to spread across the front of her chest. “I just got this shirt.”

jonathan couldn’t even conceal the laugh that came out of his mouth when he heard her correct herself. “well, you’re... getting there,” he said with a teasing smirk and nodded in the direction of the apparently ruined shirt. “you know that washing machines are a thing, right?”

“it would appear i’ve been stood up.” merely needing to say it out loud, to finally admit it after an hour of waiting, a soft chuckle escaping from his lips. it really was just his luck. his sister setting him up with some guy after bran has dated in a decade. “would you want to join me? i could use the company. just for a drink or two.”

jonathan was finishing up his drink, his eyes glued to his phone as he was scrolling through pinterest to get some ideas for his classroom. “huh?” he lifted his gaze when the other had spoken to him and wrinkled his nose up at the words. “happens to the best of us, bud,” he gently patted the other’s shoulder before turning to the bartender to get both of them their drinks. “ah, fuck it, it’s the weekend anyway,” he chuckled.

Bex looked down at the dog who was really just a huge baby. She smirked, letting him smell her hand and then he knocked it with his nose and nuzzled her. “I don’t think I’ll need those treats, actually,” she smirked, crouching down to pet the dog. “He’s cute though. How old?” Bex wanted a dog so bad but she just didn’t have the time right now.

jon let out a small chuckle when he saw that olaf was already enjoying the attention that he had craved so hard. “two years,” he replied to her question and leaned down to put olaf’s head. “be careful, he won’t let you stop petting him,” he said with a teasing smirk, knowing that the other wouldn’t mind being in that situation, given how fast she and the dog started getting along. “you have any pets?”

          “ well , i am one of the ones that administer those vaccinations , but i’m not the bad guy in his story . just a few other dogs & cats in town . ” tyler says with a chuckle . “ of course i want to pet him , i’m not some sort of monster . ” he jokes , glancing over at the dog with amused eyes . “ i’m fairly confident that i could bribe him for his love   com’on , hand over the treat then . ” a lot of the time , tyler could come off rather timid , but one way to break the ice with him was bringing along a furbaby . dogs , especially . “ what’s his name ? ”

jonathan couldn’t help but chuckle, seeing the other getting so excited to be around olaf. and he fully expected him to -- after all, a vet that wasn’t into animals was no good. ‘hopefully he doesn’t smell the clinic on you,’ jon said with a teasing smirk before handing him the little pouch with olaf’s treats in it. ‘olaf, obviously,” he replied to the question and ruffled the pup’s white fur. ‘what else could a group of disney obsessed three-year-olds name him?’

‘oh, don’t mind him,’ jonathan shook his head with a small chuckle and nodded in the direction of his dog. looking pitiful as ever and gracing them both with the saddest puppy dog eyes he could ever muster. ‘he’s still not forgiven me for taking him to get his vaccines,” he whispered the last part, not wanting olaf to start his concert again. “if you want to pet him, i can give you some treats, maybe you’ll be able to bribe him for his love,” he added with a chuckle.

‘OKAY, i know how unorthodox and ridiculous this is going to sound but i was wondering… if you’d let me have that muffin.’ penny said, her eyes barely leaving the pastry in the person’s hand. ‘i’ll pay you for it but all i have is a 20! i’ll hand it over, i don’t really care. it just looks so good and the cafe said you got the last one and so here i am… just hunting someone down to get a raspberry bliss muffin.’ she laughed uneasily as her eyes drifted up to the person standing in front of her and she smiled.

jonathan turned around when he heard the familiar voice, already knowing who it belonged to. ‘somehow it doesn’t surprise me,’ he let out a little laugh and looked at the muffin in his hand. ‘we can share it if you want. you know raspberries are my weakness, pen,” he teased, nodding towards the empty table nearby.

she couldn’t help it… it just felt like she was away on a long trip. now she was reunited with munchkin and jon and she wasn’t.. she knew as much, but it also felt real. ‘i missed him so much. and you. but we’ll get there, i don’t… want to overwhelm you.’ she stood up carefully after pressing a million kisses to munchkin’s head and faced jon. ‘jon, have you got somewhere to be? i’ll wait, i promise.’ she didn’t think he’d have a fear she wouldn’t come back, of course. she just wasn’t thinking. ‘but i won’t force you out if you want to stay and i’d fucking love some pierogi. of course i forgot to eat, i didn’t have you to remind me. i’m.. so sorry, jon. just… tell me when you want me to start properly apologising. now? after pierogi? during? i have to tell you everything. and i promise i will.’

“overwhelm?” jonathan tilted his head to the side and bit down on his bottom lip. he was already overwhelmed with not just pen’s return but with how at ease everything seemed to be -- as if she hadn’t left in a hurry, without a word but merely for a longer work trip. “no, it’s just a thing i didn’t even want to go on in the first place,” he shrugged his shoulders, not really knowing why it was important for him to make sure pen knew he didn’t want to go on that date. he had the right to move on, right? “of course you did,” he smiled at her and walked up to grab the pierogi from the freezer that he made a couple of days ago and put the pot filled with water on the stove. “i doubt i’ll be more ready to talk to you about all of that after dinner so we might as well just get it over with and then perhaps have a nice dinner?” he tried to sound like he was absolutely sue of that and of everything but he just wasn’t. instead, he just fixed his gaze on the stove, waiting for the water to finally boil.

‘maybe you ought to, yeah. can i be your best man? at the very least a bridesmaid or something.’ penny couldn’t help smiling so widely as she waited for him to catch onto what she was talking about. she hadn’t taken a test or anything, she wasn’t letting her hopes get up too high either! but maybe it was real, ‘oh my god, baby. i don’t know! i’m late! that’s all i know. but… i don’t know. i’m too scared to check. i just wanted to tell you.’ a baby wasn’t the plan at all… but if a baby came, she wouldn’t be opposed to it and she was so glad to see that neither would jon. ‘oh god, i love you so much. imagine if we had a little baby.’

“of course, you will be my best man! i can’t imagine anyone else as my best man than you,” jonathan giggled and booped penny’s nose. “oh, okay,” he nodded his head slowly, still trying to remain calm. after all, nothing is sure yet and there is no reason to get too excited too soon. “we can take the test, right? we can take it together and whatever the piss stick says, we will be ready for it, yes?” he pulled his beloved in even closer and pressed a kiss to the top of her head. “a mini you, everyone would be lucky to meet them,” he smiled softly. “we can turn that empty room upstairs into a nursery!”
