Something like a hybrid cat yes!!! I think there should be fae equivalent animals in this faerie world. Exactly like the mystical animals in atla!!

Also, the Night Court has heavy turkic influence (+ Albania and maybe another I shall not name) and Rhys‘s City especially is inspired by the turkish/ottoman empire, so I like the Idea of faerie cats roaming around in Velaris (I might change the name?) like in Istanbul 🥹

rereading the acotar series has made me realise how absolutely terrifying the descriptions of fae are. with long limbs and elongated features, they’re as beautiful as they are petrifying.

i want to draw a ‘biblically’ accurate moments from the books, the way that humans perceive the high fae. i have so many drafts to complete and im looking forward to exploring a new art style and vibe!

IVE CRAWLED OUT OF MY HOLE!!

If I may be so honest, some people who follow this page already know that years back I used to draw and post a lot for the acotar fandom. Lately (in the last 2-3 years) I did take an unofficial break – partially due to the rise of AI art in the book fandom space and the state of my mental health.

Truthfully, within the last two years alongside my studies at University I’ve been in a really deep depression. Not to make things sad in such an exciting time!! But I want to be honest because there is such a guilt I do carry over abandoning the amazing, talented, and kind people this fandom has given me; I never gave a proper goodbye or explanation. I started rereading acotar again a few weeks ago, my mother started reading it and it really reminded me of how much this series matters to me - I desperately wanted that love and passion that it gave me at 16 and to carry it into my 20s. Unbeknownst to me, out of nowhere, SJMaas released the news of the new books coming out this year!! And suddenly (alongside extensive therapy and working on myself) I feel a real proper love and passion for something I love again - this time I hope I can share it with you again 💛💛💛

With all that said, Feyre Archeron! A character who taught me that it’s okay to build yourself up after losing so much and to instead build much more in spite of loss <3

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

I’ve returned! (Kinda!)

I recently got back into ACOTAR this past few weeks given some free time I was able to have with winter break and also had some time to relax and draw! It’s been quite a while since I’ve posted anything like this, and I have missed it dearly. Having the lack of the ACOTAR and booklr fandom has definitely affected the way I look at my creative freedom and enjoyment. Coming towards my final year of studies in my Undergraduate Degree (yay!) I’ve had to sideline my writing and art significantly - and it’s a sacrifice that I didn’t know I would miss as much as I have. Given this past year, with a relationship that was unfortunately very restrictive, struggles with mental and physical health, and my academic focus it’s been a rollercoaster of emotions - however, I fully intend for 2026 to be a new chapter and one that’ll be good for some time towards creative passions!

All in all, I’ve missed this community badly, and I fully intend to make the best of what I can moving forward. I sincerely hope you have had a restful, fun, and relaxing winter holiday and have the best new year!
