Today is Earth Day! #treehugs Founded in 1970 by Gaylord Nelson, the movement (also inspired by the energy of an anti-war movement) was prompted by the 1969 oil spill in Santa Barbara, CA and helped to finally put environmental protection on the national political agenda. Also, in case you've missed it, there is only 1 last Male Northern White Rhinoceros living on this planet (5 total with females). They have successfully been pushed to the brink of extinction by hunters in Africa.

My poor car

Road trips are the best. However, I’ve only had my sweet little VW GTI for a little more than a year now and I’ve put well over 25K on it. Here she is on her 50K turning point. At least she has old man strength!!
