It's ready! RPC starter glitched out when I tried to configure an ep combo of Uni - NL - OFB, so I added a SP and that fixed it. So along with my defaults for OFB, we're also getting defaults for Glamour Life Stuff! In the case of these hairs, there's only one GLS hair, an adult female hair, but it's been included in this post.
As I did with previous hairs, the blonde hair has become white and the brown hair has become grey. The white always gets washed out in CAS but looks normal in game. The grey is identical to the elder grey. The black and the orange stay the same.
Why have I greyscaled these hairs? For the Pleasant Prism Challenge, where the world is in greyscale except certain coloured accents. There's a directory of more downloads for this here.
These hairs are 99% the work of @spookymuffinsims, who compiled this amazing complete set of hair defaults for the entire game. I've gone through their defaults and replaced the textures of the brown and blonde hair colours to be grey and white respectively. I've also modified some of the hats/accessories to be either greyscale or a single colour for accent purposes. All the mascot hats have been defaulted into normal hairs.
What spookymuffin did not do, however, is default the toddler bear hats. I decided I wanted them defaulted with regular hairs, so I went and used Malvern's defaults [female] [male]. I enabled some of the Unisex-looking of these toddler hairs for unisex. These files are included in the part 2 drive.
Additionally, the defaults for hatbaker (the chef hat) weren't appearing correctly (hair still blonde/brown), so I decided to hide them instead using jordi's hiders as a base. This file is also included in part 2 of the OFB hairs.

I picked one colour for each age/gender group for the swatch, but all four colours have been done for each group, worry not!

Please report to me if you encounter any problems, such as hairs being the wrong colour! And as always, if you want to use this or any of my work as a base to do something else, please go for it! Just remember to link back to me (and everyone else who's work my work uses) and ideally let me see what you did!
Long time no see! My set of OFB defaults for the Pleasant Prism Challenge is finally in alpha testing. I'll give it a good while of testing before I share the objects and clothes since there's a lot there, but the makeup is easy to test and is therefore ready to post!
The first swatch on each one is makeup-less. More swatches (for the default database) are under the cut.
The lipstick is a defaulted version of some of Anubis360's glossy lipstick. Always been fond of that one. I doubled the opacity, and in the case of the turquoise colour, made that customly. Thanks to HugeLunatic's makeup default templates.

The eyeshadow is an edited version of @katsurinssims's default of digisim's edit of Enayla 'Golden Grace’ + 'Pixie Loveless Mask’ and Reines de l'Orient’s ES-B: Ephemera eyeshadow edits. I've changed some of the colours but not touched any alphas.

These paintings have had all but one colour sucked out of them, intended for use in the Pleasaant Prism Challenge where the whole world is in greyscale except certain colour accents. The rainbow one is for the rare Rainbow sim.
The first two rows are from @2fingerswhiskey [originals here]. I really liked the rainbow pebbles one so I played with that for a really long time instead of changing my sheets (just a quick edit before doing the sheets I said to myself). You should check out their post because it's a great set of defaults (for a regular non-greyscale game haha).
Download 2FW Paintings Pleasant Prism'd
The last row is from @creesims [originals here]. They used paintings from TS3, which I've also done a pack of, but they used some that I didn't and I decided I wanted to Pleasant Prism them. They also used special trait variants of the paintings which is a fun way to diversity your sims' painting collections. For this collection, I used a gloomy, an evil, and a neurotic variant because I liked how the colours were slappin'.

Here's a default of the mannequin skin I put together for the Pleasant Prism Challenge. This is mostly dragonarts's Rainbow Skin merged with some of the textures of Nilou's Memories skin so it'll better match my greyscale human skin defaults. The teeth are fully the greyscale memories teeth.
Download Default Rainbow Mannequin
Requires Mannequin Babies Can Be Born if you want to use this skin in game. I tried to default the baby skin, but failed. The baby skin will be the default white, the rest of the ages will have this rainbow skintone.

Censored bc tumblr likes saying it's Mature Content:tm: even when your sims are fully clothed despite their new TOS allowing digital nipples but alright. But the girlies do have nips. No genitals painted on either.
Seems are not perfect on the back of the shoulders and the scalp, but I think that's from the original rainbow skin. The balding hair specifically has the scalp mapping messed up, so you may want to avoid that hair on rainbow sims.
These are all recolours of rudhira's default glasses. Please check them out because rudhira did a lot of amazing work!
I included links to the default database so you can know specifically what each one defaults.
These glasses are all either greyscale or colour accents made for use in the Pleasant Prism Challenge. The greyscale glasses should all be enabled for random, the coloured ones are not.
EyeglassesThickRims + Snorkel Default | Download
The coloured thick rims are defaults of the Family Fun Stuff snorkles, while the black one is of the BG thick rectangular glasses. The black ones only show up on certain skin and hair combinations. I don't know why or how to fix it.
The download for the rest is in one .rar linked below this paragraph. There's individual files inside the .rar if you only want some of them. I'm putting the rest of the swatches under the cut.
More nondefault paintings for the Pleasant Prism Challenge. These are originally by @cozy-sims.
I actually went back and double-checked my spelling of turquoise this time so it should all be correct. Got that as a chronic typo opey. Included a "Rainbow" one this time because I thought the multiple colours were vibing good for that. And then we all need more red women and pink flowers right?
Hair time! Here's a version of @spookymuffinsims's bulk hair default pack. Most of the work is spookymuffin's, so be sure to check them out. The hair is all great and has nice matching colours and textures and is a great default set. My edit is for the Pleasant Prism challenge, where the world is in greyscale except for certain coloured accents. I've replaced brown hair with grey (a grey identical to the elder grey) and blond with white (on the child sim pictured above) (it's less bright in game, yknow how CAS can be).
I've done all the hair in BG, UNI, and NL so far, as well as the BG eyebrows and all stubble & beards (including BV). I've linked the folder so if you're in the future you can easily see if I've added any more EPs.
DOWNLOAD GREYSCALE DEFAULT HAIR
Some more deets:
Elders stay grey. Black and orange are the same, except sometimes I've changed the hat/accessory colour. I've left some hats/accessories as colours so they can be coloured accents and I've greyscaled other ones. Service NPC hairs are all included. I decided to leave orange hair as an accent colour for my aliens, as in my version of the challenge the alien generation as assigned orange and I thought that'd be fun. In game, if any townie/npc generates with orange hair, I use the SimBlender to change it, mark down what I changed it to, and then go change their genetic in SimPE. And likewise, whenever a baby is born as a result of alien abduction, I go into Simpe and replace the black hair genetic they inherited from the pollination technician with an orange.
The special hair mirror hair colours were all defaulted by Spookymuffin too, and I've left those unaltered.
Some hat hairs have a hatless state, others don't. Some of the adult hairs have secret toddler conversions that can spawn on your toddlers but don't appear in CAS or the mirror. Those hairs have all been recoloured in consistence with the outlined pattern. However, some hairs, especially on premade Maxis sims, will display the original maxis hair in the Young Adult age. This always happens with defaults I find. I think it's a Maxis issue. Affected sims will just need to visit a mirror or use the SimBlender.
I made some lazy swatches just so you can see the mesh used for each hair to see if you like the choices. Some maxis meshes are used in this default set. Also check the photos at the top of this post beccause I didn't include those swatches in the below image (the green outline was messing things up)
AF in Grey (aka brown)
AM in Grey (aka brown)
CF, CM, and PF in white (aka blonde)

Stubble is not pictured bc I think it's too subtle to see generally anyway, but it's been done too.

Then supplement my above file with the Bon Voyage and Freetime Hat Hiders, the Apartment Life and Mansion & Garden Hair and Hat Hiders, and the Seasons hair hiders.
After you do this, some stubborn items will still be visible. You can try using Almighty_Hat's stubborn stragglers hiders. At this link you can also find Almighty_Hat's comprehensive hiders for everything in the game if you want to customize what you hide.

Update from the future (April 11), I did some more here.
Have you ever wanted to play the Pleasantville Challenge in Sims 2, where the whole world is grey except certain coloured accents? But then you realized that too many things in the game are too damn colourful! Well, not anymore!
I got this idea when I saw iCad's greyscale lush terrain + skybox + distant horizen. You'll need that in order to get the looks in the above photos, as I haven't touched the lush terrain. If GoS is still down, you can grab iCad's download here. Then I saw @mocuna-sims' Prism Challenge and it clicked that I could combine them. In the Prisim Challenge, each generation follows a different colour and expansion pack. For my combination challenge, the Pleasant Prism Challenge, I adjusted the colour choices a bit to exclude greyscale colours.
First. A caveat. Some things were out of my skill to greyscale. Sometimes it's out of the game's ability (I believe the tinting on the desert terrain is probably from global lighting config files? not sure). Sometimes I greyscaled something and then the game glitched out. So please accept there will be a few issues. But most items are greyscaled, and items with multiple colour optoins have at least one greyscale option. I've left many bright colours to use for your accents, and in some cases I edited the colours to add more diversity of colour choices or simply to brighten them up.
Here's a sampling of how some of the buy and build catalogue looks now.
These defaults include overrides of TXTR (texture images), TXMT (the way light interacts with items), and LGHT (the way light is cast from items). Some TXMTs were edited to be more shinier based on TXMTs by pforestsims.
This default includes BG, UNI, and NL defaults for the entire build and buy catalogue, all sim accessory objects (such as the cleaning sponge), the three other nhood terrains that iCad didn't do, carpools, food, aspiration and career rewards, and anything else one might find in the game files labelled "objects" or "materials". The .rars contain individual packages for different categories if you'd like to pick and choose what you want. I'm linking the whole folder in here in case you are in the future where I've posted more EPs.
DOWNLOAD GREYSCALE DEFAULT OBJECTS
You may note in this folder is a .rar of my "broken" road lotskirt defaults. When I tried to default these, I got flashing blue in my game. (Lotskirt refers to whats visable outside your lot while in lot view.) In the desert terrain, this was fixed by simply removing the files. So the lotskirt road is not greyscaled. In concrete and dirt terrain, the lotskirt roads flash blue no matter what. Even though I'm 95% certain I haven't accidently slipped my attempted defaults into any of the other packages files. I think it's probably an issue with my EP configuration through RPG starter. I'll have to reassess the issue when I get to seasons, hopefully that fixes it.
That said, it's possible these defaults work for other people's EP configurations, so I decided to upload them anyway. Please use at your own risk, and backup your neighbourhood. I've included defaults for the seasons roads in those files too.
All the easel paintings are fully greyscaled. I have some nondefault versions with colour accents available, as well as edits of other people's paintings. Check them out here.
Here's a slightly more detailed list of caveats that I don't know how to fix:
1 NL table lamp has a perpetual green shadow on all colour options, I can't find a file that allows me to fix this.
iCad's nhood skybox is not aways visable from lotview. When it isn't visable, you can see the Maxis sky. While I've defaulted this, there's a seam for some reason with the original blue showing up in half the direction. If you get lucky though, the angle will be good and you'll get fully grey sky. This affects both day and night.
Puddles are still blue
The motive-restoring aspiration reward has it's original texture
baby milk is still green. the nipple is grey though
the console part of the video game console is tinted because the TXMTs glitched out. the controllers worked though.
my nhood terrain defaults take a warm tint
the kicky bag is red
Some lights still emit the wrong colour or tint despite editing LGHT files
The legs on the cheap patio chair are still tinted
Okay I think that's all for the list of things I don't know how to fix. Other than this, if you notice something, such as an object that clearly has the wrong texture uploaded (mapped wrong, or super blurry, or has too normal-looking colours) then let me know. Also like if you use this and/or play the Pleasentville or Pleasant Prism Challenge, show me pictures?????
Also open invitation to anyone to edit or improve anything I do! You also have my blessing to greyscale more EPs and SPs. Because I'm playing a LEPacy, I'm just greyscaling the EPs in order and not thinking about SPs at this time. Let me know if you ever make any greyscale/Pleasant Prism things and I can them to the directory!
Want more greyscale things to greyscale your game? Check the aforementioned directory!

Download Greyscale NL Goggles Default
I greyscaled everything but the lenses so they pop. One pair has greyscale lenses also.
Looking for the BG glasses I used to have here? I made a new version with some of the lens colours changed, frame colours brightened, and the thick rim default added. Check it out here.
These are all edited versions of makeup by @furbyq-sims @muupi @dreadpirate! If you want a normal version of these, you can check out their originals in the details under the readmore. There's also swatches of each thing :)
Interested in OFB makeup? That's now available here.
The Pleasantville Challenge is a challenge where your entire game is in greyscale excerpt certain vibrant accents. (More downloads for Pleasantville at this directory). This makeup set has many greyscale options, as well as some vibrant coloured options. I've included swatches for both skin 1 and skin 4 (from this set) so you can get an idea about the opacity and tones of each item. All items have matching swatches.
Eyeshadow
This eyeshadow is originally by furbyq. There's a download link here, and you can check a picture out on S2Defaults near the bottom on the left. I've edited several colours to be greyscale, and edited some other ccolours to be vibrant options fitting with the aesthetic I'm cultivating for my Pleasant Prism Challenge.
Lipstick
This lipstick is an edit of dreadpirate's defaults which you can get here. I've always struggled finding lipsticks I like because I really don't like the look of the lip lines texture that basically every single lipstick in this community has at least a little bit of. So I eventually decided that I like the colours and shape and toning of dreadpirate's lips, so from that I can make something I like. I changed the texture a bit to be more matte so it suits my tastes. Then I changed several colours to be greyscale in various tones, and then also had them vary in opacity so there can be lot of options for different looks. I made one two-toned lip colour so even my greyscale sims can feel super dramatic.
The skin my sims are using actually does have lip line texture a bit, which you can see in the the swatch. You can see which lipsticks are more translucent because more of the skin's lip texture shows through.
These are only the basegame lips. OFB lips will be defaulted soon which will add more non-traditional colours (my sim had an accidentally baby in uni so the next generation is coming much sooner than anticipated).
Blush
There's two files here. You can use either or both or none.
The first is the default of the standard blush. These are the eaxis blushes that appear for all skin tones. These are greyscaled versions of muupi's default of jessi’s deserve me and lilith’s golden wings. One of the red colours was left, the rest were all greyscaled.
As always, all the blushes don't look good on all the skins. I treid to give you an idea of which skin ranges the blushes may suit by show it on s1 and s4. (s1 always has a hard time with blush I find, in my taste at least)
The next file is for the blushes that are unique to each skin tone. Maxis added two blushes each for s1 and s2, and then 1 each for s3 and s4. dreadpirate unlocked these for all skintones and then furqby made a default replacement of them. I've edited furbyq's default replacement to add some greyscale blushes (included one very bright white), and then edited the colours of some of the vibrant blushes to make them more vibrant and to increase the colour options.
Maybe you think the bright blushes look silly? I think sims deserve to have a little whimsy :)
The unlocker is included with these blushes, so you don't need anything else to make them show up for all skin tones.
Eyeliner
I didn't edit this because the eyeliner default I use is already black. I use Beccabear's. It's simple sharp and doesn't have eyelashes drawn on. Check it out here. These eyeliners appear on some of the sims in my promotional image at the top of this post.
Scroll all the way down here to read all the info and look at the photos I slaved over for hours? Bless your heart you give me so many endorphins. Looking for the download link? It's at the very top of the post under the first picture!
I have all the photos for hair so that's probably going up next. I just need to fix one of the facial hairs. If you're impatient (and don't care about one bear having a wrong texture) you can find hair and more Pleasant Prism files in my SFS folder.
Here is a greyscale set of default eyes for the Pleasant Prism Challenge. Here's a directory of more greyscaled defaults.
Credits & Blah blah readmore
For the eyes, since they all had to be greyscaled, I decided to source some different eyes that had an interesting texture so they would all still look unique and interesting in greyscale. I'm labelling them by the EAxis colour they replace. Some of the eyes were processed a bit in order to greyscacle them and try to give the sclera the degree of consistency I was looking for (there's still some differences though). They also all have their swatches updated. (I also updated the swatch in the Alien Eye while I was at it.)
Green: Cerberus's Crybabies Doe
Grey: hazeling's Atomic Sky
Dark Blue: Tabbs's Sanctuary
Light Blue: Vampire_aninyosaloh's Blood Flesh
Brown: Black Khaos Metamorph's Pheromonal
I made this quick swatch that should hopefully be helpful for the default database.
Want more Pleasantville Challenge Things but don't want to wait for me to make official posts? Or maybe you're in the future where I have posted everything but you just want to quickly download without scrolling each individual post? Check out my SFS folder here.
*tiny little disclaimer. after i took the pictures I realized that the colouring was off on one of the eyes (not grey enough) but I didn't want to take new pics again so after i fixed it I just photoshopped the screenshot. so maybe it'll be slightly different in game. but probably not.
Updated 2026/04/14. Fixed errors. Recatagorized some outfits because these aren't compatable with recategorizing mods. (Coats and formal clothes added to outerwear and formal respectively, gym clothes moved to the gym category, sportbikinis removed from underwear.) TAF swimwear has had colour changes for better diversity. Added a tl;dr to help people who's reading comprehension is not capable of reading my longass post.
(Precise swatches will be coming with this update, but later, because I'm really tired. I've taken the photos, just need to process them.)
Updated 2026/04/01. Fixed errors. Seperated private school girls' uniform (at bottom of this post)
—
Okay here it is. I've been working on this for two years I think. Here is a default replacement of the textures of every single clothing item in basegame, uni, and night life. This is for the Pleasant Prism Challenge, where the world is entirely greyscale except certain coloured accents.
(Find more downloads for the Pleasant Prism Challenge here.)
TL;DR Important Info
Do not hit the in-game delete button on any of these, it'll corrupt your game files and you'll have to reinstall the entire game.
Files, esp BG, are really big
Not compatible with recategorizers (have been incorporated)
Compatible with mesh-only defaults
Coloured clothes are disabled for random, greyscale ones are enabled for random
Premade sims may be wearing an outfit that I hid instead of recolouring so they won't look right. Just change the outfit.
CTF private school uniform is in its own package as there's choices. Check the bottom of this post for it.
Want to hide other EPs and SPs? Check the bottom of this post for my complementary hiders.
More details and supplementary mod recommendations under the cut.
Download Giant Files: Basegame | Uni | Nightlife
Many clothes are grey. Other clothes have mono colour accents. For every age and gender combination, there should be at least one garment of each of the colours in Episims's colour traits mod. These garments have been modified to have only the one colour, all other parts have been greyscaled to the best of my photoshopping ability. Here's a sampling of some of the colour-accented outfits:
Some of them are unchanged from Maxis. Others are modified to grey out some parts, others have had the colour changed or brightened. (Do note in this image there's a couple greyscale items—the hula skirt and the two woman's underwear at the bottom. Don't go blind trying to figure out what's coloured on them.)
Info: Flags [Random Enabling]
All coloured items have had their flags changed to be DISABLED FOR RANDOM but still visible in CAS or to purchase at a clothing rack. For this reason, I very heavily recommend this mod. This removes the custom content icon and prevents you from being able to accidently hit the delete button. If the any of these defaulted EAxis items are deleted in game, it will corrupt your game files and you will need to reinstall the entire game.
Because the flags are changed, it also moves most of the coloured items to the front of the catalogue. This may be preferred by some of you.
Greyscale items are all enabled as random. For my sims who have a favourite colour, I use Pescado's clothing too to pick coloured items for them to wear, usually trying to pick coloured versions of the greyscale items they aged up into (but that's just how I like to do it). Here's links to the clothing tool based on your EP (use the one for the most recent ep you have, for Ultimate Collection that's Apartment Life, for Super Collection that's Bon Voyage). Apartment Life, Free Time, Bon Voyage, Seasons, Pets, OFB, Nightlife, University.
I supplement this with the free version of the cheaper clothes mod so my colour-enjoying sims do not have to pay big bucks to enjoy colours.
As you know, some EAxis outfit categories don't have a lot of options. This means that colour-enjoying sims may find that options are limited in some categories in their preferred colour. I tried to diversify as much as possible.
Info: Recategorization
These are not compatible with recategorizers. I've incorporated some aspects of some based on my preference.
Generally, outfits with Jackets have been added to the outerwear category, formal clothes (female suits, toddler tuxes + dresses) have been also added to the formal category, while gym clothes have been moved to the gym category, with the exception of a couple uni outfits which remain also in everyday. I've also added some child clothes to the athletic category so that they have something to wear other than that default outfit that I can't find the textures for so I can't greyscale it. A couple CM outfits have been unisexed, as have some PF and PM outfits.
If you have seasons installed, I'm not sure what's gonna happen to the items that should be flagged as outerwear. I can't playtest the recategorized outerwear because I haven't gotten to Seasons yet in my LEPacy.
Info: Hiders
On clothes with lots of varients, if I found that some options either looked too similar greyscaled or the textures were not cooperating when I tried to partial greyscale, then I hid them. These clothes are likely to be worn by premade sims (and your sims if you install this into an existing save). Just use pescacdo's clothing tool (linked above) to change them. In a brand new clean save, these clothes will never exist because they're disabled for random and hidden in CAS.
One of the AM tuxes refuses to hide. There's two copies of it and I can't hide either one. I've given up agonizing over it. In game it's the fullbody white one; in the files (umbody) it's tuxaqualepel. (You can find it in the casies.) It's only this one AM tux that doesn't work, the rest (other colours and ages) all work as desired.
Info: Mesh Replacements
I have not touched any meshes, and only touched the TXMT for one pair of af jeans. Those particular jeans might have problems with a mesh replacement, but it probably depends on the mesh. Everthing else should be fully compatible with mesh replacements as long as the mesh replace doesnt include an override for texture image (TXTR) or property sets (GZPS). I use these default meshes for preg morphs.
Wrapping Up!
Here's the last of the photos I took, featuring the littles (actually, it's these adults deaged. They've been through a lot.)
This is a huge project. This means that despite being on Major Version Number 3 and having just spent many hours fixing everything (on today Tuesday April 14, 2026), there's probably still errors.
I think I've fixed everything. But I probably haven't. If you encounter an issue (especially of the game crashing variety), please let me know and I'll do my best to fix it!

CF & TF Private School Uniform
The above download does not include this. I've seperated the girls' (child & teen female) private school uniforms because there's two choices. The standard (blue) outfit and the rebel version are both fully greyscale. The red and green versions are exactly the same except they have red and green socks respectively. This is the solid version. The gradient version gives the red and green socks a gradient intended to help the colour comply better with the colours used in @rudhira's private school uniform colour mod. The standard uniform and the rebel one does not change between these two versions.
These two versions are also each with two binning options: one hides all the girls' school uniforms from CAS/shopping rack/random (the file called CAShidden), and the other doesn't do that (and does the standard for the rest of these items, the grey ones are random-enabled, the coloured ones are random-disabled but still visible for manually selection).
You can only have one of these private school girls' uniform defaults.
Download Private School Uniform Defaults (Child & Teen Female).

Complementary Hiders
You may want to hide all the clothes from the other eps (because EP selection through RPG starter doesn't hide the EPs' CAS items). Because EAxis is silly, they reactivated basegame clothes multiple times in some EPs and SPs. This means hiders for those EPs and SPs will also hide much of the BG clothing. I've edited those hiders to not do that.
Download my edited hiders.
Supplement them with the original clothing hiders for Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life, Kitchen and Bath, and Teen Style Stuff.
That TSS link also shows you Almighty_Hat's post that links every single hider known to Sims 2 kind, so you can use it as a reference to help you hide anything you'd like. For K&B, you'll find the file for "everything" AND the file for "camisole" as everything doesn't include the camisole. Some items resist hiding. Try Almighty_Hat's stubborn stragglers (also at the TSS link).
Credits
Extra credits and shoutout to Jordi from MTS and Almighty_Hat whose hiders I used as a base to edit the flags on the random-disabled items. Additional credit to @loosiap whose Default Tux (clone) I used as a reference to get the files I needed to altering the flags. I referenced these recategorizors when doing my own recategorization and merged most of the code with my own: women's suits, formal toddlers, and outerwear.
Probably more credits are due to other people for various tutorials and templates that I've neglected to remember. Credits to EA/Maxis for the original content and the game. Credits to Simpe for letting me do any of this at all. Credits to iCad for giving me the original idea for playing a Pleasantville Challenge.
Also, if anyone else is like this is an awesome project and I want to be part of it, feel free to! Anything you greyscale can be added to the Pleasent Prism Directory.
The zombie skin REQUIRES the zombie overlay mod by MidgeTheTree
I've made greyscale defaults of an edited version of PatchesSims2's vampire skin and my transparent edit of Fantasyrogue's zombie skin (with edited Bruno eye).
The vampire skin has been edited to be mostly only the veins, so the greyscale sims' skin tone doesn't get altered. The zombie still has a full translucent overlay, so sim's skintones will darken/lighten a bit. The vampire skin has had a heavily modified version of DangerouslyFreeJellyfish's Whisper Eyes Sectoral version (converted to Sims 2 by whysim), in a vibrant yellow colour.
Why yellow? Why grey? This is for my Pleasant Prism challenge, where the whole world is in greys except certain accent colours. As generation three has been assigned yellow and is the generation that explores nightlife, I decided to make the vampire eyes yellow.
I am open to requests to change the colour of the vampire eyes if anyone wants :D

More/better photos under the cut:
My models are using this default alien skin & eye, these default human skins, and these default human eyes. They are wearing no makeup.
Vampire:
Unfortunately, the veins don't show up on the dark skinned sim. I'm not sure why, because in photoshop the veins were pretty dark and showed up fine over a dark grey. (As always, if anyone ever wants to modify/improve things I post, go ahead, please just let me know so I can see and also add it to the greyscale directory). I think the eye also looks silly on the alien, but there's nothing I can do without compromising it's look on the regular sim eyes.
Please forgive my models' upset faces. They were not happy to be turned into vampires and then forced to stand in the sun.
In general, the alpha on the veins isn't perfect. I did what I could with the photoshop skills I have. Luckily, you don't usually zoom in on your sims like legs like this. From afar I think it looks fine.
Zombie:
As you can see compared to the vampire, the zombie skin does lighten/darken the skins a bit. Sorry about that. I wanted to keep the details as much as possible so I didn't try to make it more transparent than it already is. I think the effect on the alien skin is nice here.
Zombie-Vampire Hybrid:
Some caveats, as always with hybrids. The vampire eyes go on top, so they don't get the misty look as desired from the zombie overlay. I might try to make a custom contact lens that can be put overtop to get the look back. Future thing. Main focus right now is getting all the defaults done. (I'm in alpha testing hell with the maxis clothes and object defaults, have been for two years 😰). The vampire veins are less visible then on plain skins, and still not visible on the darkest skin or the alien skin.
Scrolled all the way to the end to read my blabber and look at my pictures? Thanks.
Looking for the download button? it's at the very top under the first picture in green text :)
As always, feel free to edit and post your own edits, just remember to link back to me and back to the origin skin creators :) and let me know so I can see it and also add it to the greyscale directory :D
Here's a greyscale version of Nilou's Memories default skins. Here's a link to a post that shows a photo of Nilou's skin because the photos on Livejournal are down.
This default is only for the four human skins. Models are not wearing any makeup.
Want more greyscale defaults? Check out my Pleasant Prism Downloads Directory.
As always, feel free to edit/improve anything I do, but please let me know so I can see it and add it to the directory :D
[Updated 2026/03/31 to add the default swatch to the eye]
Okay so it's only been two years since I started this project I think? And for my sanity I'm going to start uploading tiny bits at a time. Today we start with this default alien skin! This is a default version of Genensims's skin, with the mouth changed to greyscale. I've also defaulted the eye with @berrynooboos's orange recolour of Rensim's alien eye.
Why the grey and orange? Well you see, this is part of my Pleasant Prism Challenge, where the entire world is greyscale except certain vibrant colour accents. I've assigned accent colours to each generation, and gen 2, the alien generation, was assigned orange. Instead of an orange skin, I decided to give them orange eyes and assign the orange hair as being their genetic (so any alien baby born to the pollination technician has their genetic hair changed to orange).

(link doesn't exist yet, but will be added here as soon as it does)
(If you don't want to wait for me to get off my ass to make nice posts for each item, you can download things I haven't "posted" yet from my Pleasant Prism Folder here.)
I'm gonna blah a bit more. Just want to download this alien default? The link is at the very top under the picture.
So I tried to edit the TXMT of the eye to make it more shinier and a little glowy. Based on TXMTs by pforestsims. I'm not sure if it worked? I can't really tell, but I think that in some lighting it's brighter than others. But that's probably just the lighting.
(Disclaimer, the sim in this image is I believe wearing lipstick and eyeshadow, so the skin looks slightly different.)
I left the edited TXMT in because it doesn't seem to harm anything if it's not working.
I'm open to requests to change the eye colour if anyone wants a different colour (can be one of the other ones BerryNooboos did or you can ask for a custom shade :D)
I tried and failed to add a bump map to the skin. Thought it would be rad, but all I got was pink soup, so I took it out.
In general, if anyone ever sees something I did and wants to do an edit or improvement, please feel free to do it, and also let me know! And in the case of this Pleasant Prism project, I can add it to my directory so if anyone wants to download this stuff they can see all their options in one place :D
Update 2023/12/31: All links should be accessible now! I also added a readmore to avoid dashboard spam.
Lets pretend im in a contest to make the worst preview images imaginable.
The maxis ballet outfits have always driven me crazy, and I've never been able to find a default that I like. Until today! I've used textures from Freezer Bunny to save your ballerina's ankles and added ribbons to the ballet shoes. I made a default replacement for the Freetime ballet leotards that uses these ribbon textures, with a pinker toned shoe and a less pink-toned tight. The pink leotard has also had its colour adjusted a little bit. This default is for TF and AF, and has two separate files so it will work if you just want one or the other.
Sorry for the shitty bodyshop previews 😅. Someday I might take better pictures and update the ones here. I just wanted to be able to share this incase there's anyone else like me who's desperate for smth like this.
I also recommend you grab this mesh default by angelapleasent to improve the ribbon mapping.
I also made recolours! I made a collection of nude tone recolours in three human colours, mannequin white, and alien green. The nude colours have no tights. I also tried to make the texture a little more matte for the nude shoes (the idea being that they're made from leather instead of silk). You can't really tell on my blurry-ass pictures.
The nudes come in two flavours, one is nude shoes + black body suit, and the other is nude shoes + nude bodysuit. You can have both or either in your game!
There's a link at the very bottom of this post to download all the recolours in one .rar. All the colours are available for AF and TF and its all separated files so you can easily pick and choose which ones you want.

Last, I also made some fun recolours. These recolours all include tights.
I always wanted to do a pointe dance with black pointe shoes but never got a chance to do it. Now I can live vicariously through my sims :)
DOWNLOAD FUN COLOURS
Nothing is compressed or repositoried because I don't know how to do that. The texture resolution is pretty big. If someone knows how to make the files smaller feel free to do that.
Here's a .rar with all the above recolours (but not the default replacements):

If there's any colours you'd like, feel free to send me a request at my downloads simblr @k-athleen :) Thanks again to Freezer Bunny for the ribbon texture :)
