if you're upset about the voice actor strikes in Hoyoverse games because you miss the voices, congratulations! You've found The Point. this is what happens when companies try to use AI. People quit or get fired.

You have a valid reason to be upset about it. Nobody likes when characters aren't voiced. And that's the entire point of the strike; that voice acting is crucial for Hoyoverse's games.

What's important is recognizing that it's the VOICE RECORDING STUDIO'S fault, not the voice actors themselves. It's not their fault that Formosa Interactive decided to use their voices for AI without their consent. Nobody would quit their job unless they had a good reason for it.

Support your favorite voice actors. Always. Give them love and recognition. And do all that you can to shit on Formosa Interactive for using AI training on their voice actors.

so many of y’all are too busy trying to define lesbianism as explicitly inclusive of men and making sure we’re nice and palatable to straight people and making people feel secure in the fact that anyone can still like men, even the dykes! that you straight up ignore or erase the very prominent part of lesbophobia that comes from us not liking men, and you talk over and ignore us whenever we talk about how isolating it is to not like men when everyone else around you does because it doesn’t fit your narrative that queer labels and identities are one-size-fits-all and the mere idea of lesbians existing shatters your ideal world where everyone has wiggle room in their sexuality. reinventing the “lesbians aren’t exclusive, there’s a man for everyone! they just need need to find Mr Right” isn’t progressive just because you throw in a couple buzzwords that sound good and give people warm and fuzzies

like maybe spend less time telling us we can be attracted to men and have relationships with them (something we have heard our whole lives and really don’t need to hear again) and spend more of your energy protecting and defending lesbians and abolishing the idea that men can fit into everyone’s lives and identities. worry more about why it’s so important that you erase the significance of words at the expense of a minority for the sake of your own ~vibes~ and push the same rhetoric that’s been used against us for decades. i’ve said it before but i’ll say it again: y’all say “learn your history” until it comes to ours, and then you’re perfectly happy overwriting it. i envy the blissful ignorance you must possess in order to hear the majority of lesbians say how much this is harming them and think it’s not a problem
