ariana album promotion is taking over tiktok and i keep seeing her like every 5 scrolls and it’s like. if im gonna be forced to look at her can i get compensation like i cant imagine how bad seeing her in that state is triggering ppl steal in active ed recovery like my god. I can’t even filter her jesus christ
putting the images under a read more bc well they r triggering like i said but i cant believe how many ppl im seeing fan girling about the new music like this lady isnt literally dying in front of us like there is seriously nobody in her close circle** who cares about her esp not her label bc they just want her to keep doing live shows and pumping out new music bc they see her as a cash cow and nothing else like this is horrible
and like obviously yes she’s a grown woman she has her own autonomy but her fans refusing to say this is worrying or outright like attacking anyone that says she needs serious help is making it worse like nobody gaf about this lady not even her fans bc all they r doing is celebratin the New Music like i dont even like her bc of her frequent racism scandals but even i can be like she needs help, and nobody cares…like nobody is going to care until this lady is dead and its like. i cant even put ts into words
Victor Frankenstein after achieving the impossible and building a fucking person from scraps of the dead: Oh god, ew, ew it's ugly! Yucky! Yucky! Gross! Ew! Ew! Yucky! Yucky! Gross! Ew!
Glassblowers and hat makers are so funny bc they're so obviously insanely skilled in these difficult crafts and 9 times out of 10 they're using that skill to make the tackiest shit you've ever seen

Pulling out the genuine manhater buzzkill feminist posts every now and then so people don’t forget I’m really on that shit
fascinating how often men expect women to sympathize with their fears of being perceived as or treated like a woman
so much "masculinity" is constructed around the certainty that being gay or being a woman is inherently demeaning. and we're supposed to nod along supportively
"male loneliness crisis" ok so like.....what would happen if you started acting like a better friend to other men in your life? what's stopping you? is it the fear of being perceived as one of your inferiors?
"men aren't allowed to show emotions" ok so like…..what would happen if you started being more emotionally expressive? what's stopping you? is it the fear of being perceived as one of your inferiors?
#patriarchy hurts men #patriarchy hurts boys
i think you've VERY fundamentally misunderstood the point of my post tbh
men and boys first and foremost hurt themselves to avoid being perceived as their lessers (i.e. women and gay men)
they could stop. but the punishment is being perceived as one of us, and that would be just terrible. so they won't.
i'm fucking tired of being expected to endlessly wring my hands over the poor men who are hurt by patriarchy toooooo...when the only penalty they really face is being treated like the people they consider subhuman (women and gay men)
the Only way men will ever stop "being oppressed by the patriarchy" is if they dismantle the idea that women and gay men are inferior
once a man decides that there's nothing wrong with being seen as gay or a woman, the power of "the patriarchy" over their lives is vastly diminished
but you cannot force your oppressors to stop seeing you as a subhuman. this is something men have to choose for themselves
and they overwhelmingly do not. because when they're not playing victim/wounded bird about the circumstances of their gender, they fundamentally understand that they benefit from patriarchy far more than they are harmed by it
these people expect me to take “racialized women being masculinized is an example of androphobia” seriously as an argument
this one infuriates me because this has been written about in feminism by Black feminists! extensively! this explicit function of patriarchy!
i had a bad day and was thinking I might’ve been too harsh, but after sleeping on it I remain resolute: using this line of argumentation tells me you are racist and misogynist and that you do not care about women’s words and experiences except insofar as you can use them to benefit yourself
the Black and brown and queer and working-class and disabled women who this masculinization was done to identified it as a function of patriarchy, but a white mra from one of upstate New York’s woker sundown towns says it’s bc the patriarchy hates men, so who’s to say
I can't, I block "misandry is real and you're hurting women by not babying men" mfers. We are in a femicide crisis. Lock the fuck in.
you look in the comments and it's cis women hand wringing and trans men going, "I can't believe people are treating me like a man, just because I am a man, this is insane". Hm. Lemme just stay over here with the manhaters and the transfeminists
behind every successful man in history is a woman whose life was sacrificed for his aspirations at the cost of her own and everyone needs to keep this in mind whenever we hear or read about the great historical minds of men in literature and science. men whose success and leisure to master any craft or profession would not be granted if a woman were not indentured to them. it really makes me sick to my stomach
And speaking of Sophia Tolstoy, her diaries are just so depressing.
“I am to gratify his pleasure and nurse his child, I am a piece of household furniture, I am a woman. I try to suppress all human feelings. When the machine is working properly it heats the milk, knits a blanket, makes little requests and bustles about trying not to think […].“
She wrote this when she was 19, one year into her marriage to Leo and as she was pregnant with the first of his 13 children.
A few years later, when she was 25 or so:
“I am so often alone with my thoughts that the need to write in my diary comes quite naturally … Now I am well again and not pregnant—it terrifies me how often I have been in that condition. He said that for him being young meant “I can achieve anything”. For me […] reason tells me that there is nothing I either want or can do beyond nursing, eating, drinking, sleeping, and loving and caring for my husband and babies, all of which I know is happiness of a kind, but why do I feel so woeful all the time, and weep as I did yesterday? I am writing this now with the pleasantly exciting sense that nobody will ever read it, so I can be quite frank with myself […].“
During her 12th pregnancy she wrote about taking scalding baths and jumping from high pieces of furniture to try and miscarry. And at one point while reading her husband’s diary (which he told her to read) she found the sentence “There is no such thing as love, only the physical need for intercourse and the practical need for a life companion.” In her own diary she wrote “They ebb and flow like waves, these times when I realise how lonely I am and want only to cry…”
A few years before her husband’s death, she published a cycle of prose poems titled “Groans”, under the pseudonym “A Tired Woman”.
the most depressing quote from her diaries:
“I have served a genius for almost forty years. Hundreds of times I have felt my intellectual energy stir within me and all sorts of desires - a longing for education, a love of music and the arts… And time and again I have crushed and smothered these longings… Everyone asks, “But why should a worthless woman like you need an intellectual or artistic life?” To this question I can only reply: “I don’t know, but eternally suppressing it to serve a genius is a great misfortune.”
tme/tma were in fact explicitly constructed to include nonbinary and intersex people, anyone who says they don't is transmisogynistic, either through ignorance or lying
i do think what gets ignored about carrie as a character is that she’s an incredibly easy target to bully; she’s a chubby, sheltered acne ridden teenage girl who wears frumpy grandma clothes and regurgitates the jesus freak shit her violently abusive mother tells her. she has violent thoughts about her classmates and is uncomfortable to be around. she’s far more interesting being a victim that’s somewhat uncomfortable to be in the head of than a tragic waif. she’s not a martyr, she’s a child and a child who’s been victimised her whole life shouldn’t have to be kind and angelic to be recognised as a victim. suffering teenage girls shouldn’t just be presented on screen as toned down glamorous thin ophelias, suffering teenage girls can be fat and poor and think violently. i do think we need to examine why culturally we need teenage girls to be beautiful and kind to valorise their suffering and treat it as bad
how it genuinely feels
had a couple dreams with romantic undertones last week about my childhood best friend and i thought my subconscious was telling me to reach out to her but then i remembered she’s a swiftie. haven’t had any more dreams since
sometimes it occurs to me that while "get bottom surgery and then use a strapon" is an obvious course of action for many trans lesbians, a lot of cis people would be extremely confused by the suggestion that someone would do this.
