Does Mychael know that the Earth is spherical? If not, what would happen if he were told two statements: that the Earth is flat and that the Earth is spherical? Which statement would he believe? Will he be a flat earth believer?
Considering he's seen pictures of Earth with how often he visits libraries, I think it's gotten ingrained in his subconscious that the world, indeed, is spherical.
Buuuut if anyone tried really hard to convince him that it's flat, he'd definitely believe it. Especially since he's not very academically-inclined. It'd be as easy as saying, "Yeah, it looks like a sphere, but what if it was flat and taken from above, hmmm?"
Now that I think about it, he'd definitely be the first to fall for internet hoaxes and scams hahaha.

I know this question is kinda silly, but since Mychael doesn't seem to understand how relationships work, I thought of one thing, if MC flirted with someone else while in a relationship with him, would he take it as cheating or would he think that this behavior is it common in relationships?

So firstly, Mychael doesn't flirt. He doesn't know how to. Even if he does, it's on accident.
Secondly, he's better with verbal affection than physical, with his love language being words of affirmation and being alone for so long he gets confused by physical affection.
With these starting points in mind, I'm confident that after Mychael starts dating he'd be more open to physical affection and fully understands what your touches mean. So he'd enjoy both!
Now to the actual answer!
He'd be okay with verbal flirting, only because he's not used to what flirting even looks like between two people, especially those with a playful or unserious tone! He only has you to base off relationships from, so he would chalk it up to you being cheeky and not reading too much into it. Unless you're less subtle when it comes to flirting (your intent might come across as serious) in which case,,, why would you even say those things to someone else in front of him? Of course he'd be upset! He's supposed to be yours so why are you talking that way to someone else!!
However! If you're being physically flirty that's when alarm bells start ringing in his head immediately and he gets insecure. He doesn't see it as cheating but he feels like those touches are meant for him and him only and gets uncomfortable when you express affection for someone else in that manner.
Either way, he wouldn't know if it's common or not. I don't think he'd even know the concept of cheating since it's never crossed his mind.
