i am absolutely FASCINATED with wolverine and sabretooth’s relationship. they are quite literally the saying “two sides of the same coin”. if it weren’t for the writers overwhelming carelessness to actually write victor, the two would genuinely be the one of the most tragic duos in marvel.

I mean you’re telling me that Logan is enemies with a person who is his other side? And victor is enemies with a person who is also his other side, and ALSO pushes that side away?

to make this make more sense, we see that logan has been pushing away/putting up a wall with his animalistic tendencies due to him not “fitting in” with other mutants, making him seem more.. “human” or “normal” to fit in society. And that he doesn’t want to go berserk and hurt innocents. We also see that victor gives in to his animalistic side without a care in the world. That’s what people view him as, an animal. He acts like a predator and LOOKS like a predator. Logan actively accepts that he is no longer feral and gained self control. Whereas victor actively accepts that people view him as just a mutant. that society won’t accept “a person like him”

We even see victor trying to talk to logan that people just won’t have mutants like them! and logan rejected that idea! (i’m too lazy to bring up the panels)

What makes it even more interesting, is that the two were friends before! i’ll go as far as to say they were BEST friends at one point. they were both so unstoppable that victor is STILL trying to get logan back. their both the only people who fit the others side. yin and yang.

One last thing, i think them pushing themselves away is what brings them closer. like Charles Xavier sees major potential in victor to become an x-man. Victor sees major potential in those mutants (mostly wolverine) to go wild and stop being with society
