I bet Comet is functionally impossible to kill and wholly unaware of it. Her home planet is a dangerous hellhole where people get constantly killed by everything and kids are chucked into a cave for a few years as a matter of course. Comet has an extremely dangerous symbiotic slime mold chilling on her skin. Poison is NOT doing her in, you could put straight up acid into her coffee and she'd go "Wow where did you find something this spicy?!" Any virus she could get is violently squashed by a traumatized immune system. She eats rocks. She can wrestle a space bear and outrun a space cheetah.

If you tried to hit this girl with an axe she'd dodge, and if you somehow managed to hit her the slime would catch part of the blow and she'd barely even flinch. "Hm? Oh it doesn't hurt that bad! Nothing compared to the sting of a purple rockeater, that was bad." Meanwhile you can see bone and she's actively holding her arm up against her body. Stella takes her to the infirmary in a panic and by the time they get there Comet's murder slime friend has stopped the bleeding but decided to start eating the bone and Comet's all like uuuuuuugh now I'm gonna need to boil it out and Stella goes what the FUCK does that MEAN.

Anyway yeah I think Comet will do just fine as an adventurer.
