Seanan look at this adorable mushroom! It's called Mycena Subcyanocephala, it's a super rare and super tiny species from Taiwan!
Oh my gosh that is SO STINKIN' CUTE.
I'm studying Japanese language. I miss- typed the word furigana this morning and it auto corrected to furry iguana.
I discovered wombo so I've been making weird AI art, I've always made weird AI art, but wombo does it faster. Still using regular programs for actual design. But this is so much fun. Prepare for wombo spam.

I know quite a bit about web dev and css, but I wanted to be able to recommend this platform to clients and non techie friends in a way that they could use and understand on their own. So I made a list of requirements for the average user. ———————————————– Blog requirements : 1. It has to be free 2. Absolutely no tech or code knowledge needed to use it. 3. It has to be functional in…

I'm going to be test posting my new WordPress blog to Tumblr. I want to see how well cross posting works. Feel free to read or ignore. I have no idea what I'm doing yet.
Look what I found! The 🐑! And the cursor cat Neko, plus a bunch of screenpets from the 80s/90s old web days. #vaporwave #oldweb #Y2k #vintagetech #freeware for #windows10

Glass & Sustainability
Ok my number one sustainability pet peeve is when companies sell "sustainable" bottles or containers that are... Some shit you have to buy new? (The most sustainable option is producing less!!! Stop making shit!!!) Sometimes with plastic parts or other porous materials that won't stay food safe over time? I'm looking at you water bottle companies.
I feel like the real sustainable method is picking the right materials, not the right brands. Because they're all greenwashing anyway. And today, I'm writing a love letter to glass.
Like this shit is amazing!!
Non porous so you can use it for food/drink forever without discoloration or contamination
Not chemically reactive with stuff, you can store damn near anything in glass.
Infinitely recyclable, by melting it down, and more likely to actually get recycled then the "recyclable" plastic
Free with other purchases (if you start shopping with sustainability in mind, you can find some really cute glassware in the food aisle! Shoutout to Aldi for making those desserts in cute glass cups, and to the local farmers for sustainable packaging!)
Cleanable and non reactive with most anything, so you can reuse the same glass for many things! (Just don't go from chemical storage to food lol)
Looks cute for the same price, or less, as ugly plastic shit. Plus all your dishware will match without you having to stick to one brand!
Lasts forever (You can get gorgeous stuff at the antique store, just test it for lead!)
And you can do so much with it, like you'll never be shopping for storage containers on Amazon again if you don't want. Like i use mine for...
Cups
Food canning
Vases / plant propogating bottles
Leftover food storage (you can make a beeswax-coated cloth to cover containers!)
Candle making
Terrariums
Pen and craft supply jars
Seed storage
Plant pot (drill a hole in for drainage with a diamond drill bit)
Makeup organizers
Get a rock tumbler and make "sea glass" for decoration
Recycling (if I can't reuse, but there's a reason the saying goes reduce / reuse / recycle in that order)
Water / drink bottles to bring places and not worry about losing or tossing in a recycling bin if I get sick of carrying it
Single plant greenhouse (you can start seedlings outside earlier in the year if you put upside down jars over them, it'll keep them warm and keep animals and bugs off)
Cat mischief deterrent (they only knock so many things off shelves if the ensuing crash scares the shit outta them each time lol)
If you want free ~decor~ take some branches rocks or plants from outside, put them in a glass, maybe paint them, it looks ~aesthetic~ i swear. or maybe I'm just a basic bitch
if you're crafty and know a little circuitry you can make some cute little solar lamps with parts pulled out of broken gadgets and put it in a jar for a waterproof outdoor light (anyone want a tutorial on this one?)
Making infused oils - throw some olive oil and herbs in a bottle, cork it, leave it alone for a while
Going to the "bring your own container" store if you're lucky enough to have one.
Otherwise, buying goods in bulk to save money, save on packaging then using jars / bottles to repackage smaller usable amounts for yourself and your friends
next materials post?
aluminum
random shit from the outdoors (rocks sticks plants w/e)
