These things are what screams to me that you are a bot. So try to do what you can to make you look like not a bot.

The sad state of FanFiction.net site.

Man, it really hurts to see what’s happened to FanFiction.net. I still remember the 2000s to 2016, when I would spend hours totally glued to the site, completely lost in incredible stories written by genuinely talented people. It felt like a community.

Now? Sure, there are still some good writers trying to hold on, but the site has become almost unusable. It feels like 99% of it is just flooded with scam bots, fake reviews, and intrusive ads. Almost all of the stories I look at have countless fake bots just giving out discord scams. It is so disheartening.

Even basic things are broken, half the time you can’t upload new chapters or save documents. I tried using their new beta site, but it’s just as glitchy, and it constantly fails to sync properly on my phone. It’s like the admin team has completely checked out or just straight-up doesn't care about the people who use it anymore. The worst part is feeling stuck.

I'm not a fan of AO3; I can't stand the formatting, and it feels like the site is drowning in explicit content and AI-generated slop. But at the very least, you can tell the people running AO3 actually care. They actively update the site and listen to their audience.

Because FF.net is so neglected, so many of my favorite authors are getting completely discouraged. They're either abandoning the site for AO3 or just giving up on writing entirely, and it honestly breaks my heart to watch it happen.

I just don't understand where the owner is. If they’ve completely checked out, why not just give the site to someone who actually wants to fix it and let a new buyer bring it back to life?

I have decided to stop-cross posting my fics to ff.net because of the bullying I experienced through reviews. It happened when I pointed out problems in one fandom. That fandom had non-canon listed as characters. Tried to get ff.net to remove them, but there no response.

I also tried to report this one author for writing explicit fics about a father raping his canon daughter. It took forever for the admins to act.

There are some others things that make ff.net an unpleasant place to post fics to.

If anyone's wondering, i looked it up; nobody got hurt or killed, so they just gotta clean up the site (likely gonna be a hell of a task considering that fireball) and figure out what went wrong.

The left SUCKS at recruiting people. And so many of you are part of the problem.

The talk about centrists and moderates being the literal devil I see constantly in online leftist spaces is one great example of the left's failure. Yes, it sucks when the people don't see how horrible the right is. But centrists are some of the most open people to discussion- and some already lean left!!

You can't demonize moderates to such an extent that you close yourself off to them and then wonder why you're losing swing states.

Centrists aren't even always people with all the privileges- you will find plenty of people who are part of marginalized groups who are concerned about politicians on all sides.

You can be a smol radical leftist bean all you want who only talks to other smol socialist and communist beans, but you're never going to make the difference you want to in the world that way. It's the cold, hard truth. It doesn't mean you have to engage in discourse with everyone- some people have no real hope of changing and are emotionally draining- just more than your bubble.

I am tired of the left eating itself alive and deranged people like Trump winning.

I love this channel for posting videos about dealing with the worst people in society.

In this video, hotel calls up towing company to take care of a trailer. Owner of trailer calls for his trailer two days after removal and does not seem to understand why something more than a picture is needed to prove ownership.
