In my area, there is absolutely no way to buy Kagurabachi merch, so I have to make it myself
Is that baby Chihiro? If it is it can be explained why in Sogaâs memory he is holding baby Chihiro?
The blood on Chihiro is a little bit concerning though man
Maybe there was a secret plot to kidnap baby Chihiro?
literally thought the same thing!
My theories about this scene, because baby Chihiro won't let me go:
1. Soga killed his sister for some reason and earned a trauma worthy of a shinobi
2. This is the blood of a group of islanders who didn't accept their leadership's decision to surrender and decided to take a hostage, or, simply put, to take revenge on the creator of the swords because of which they lost. These same people might have killed Chihiro's mother. Soga couldn't save his sister, but he saved her son. Actually, his sister's death at the hands of these people pushed him completely into the abyss đ€ of nationalism đ€
Maybe Soga initially, after surviving the war, didn't understand how they could just accept these people, but it was his sister's death that finally made him decide on genocide
The thought came up because we see grass, meaning Soga was going somewhere with a blood-stained baby, so...
Perhaps the group of people weren't military, but were civilians, and that's why Soga completely lost faith in the humanity of these people and killed them all đ€đ€
The whole encounter between Chihiro and Soga becomes funnier if by "I've known you since you were about this big" he meant the moment he held little Chihiro, covered in (presumably) his mother's blood.
I'm about to die from all these parallels, someone revive me
I actually feel sick
BABY CHIHIRO??? IS THAT BABY CHIHIRO???? in the blood? ah well never mind IS THAT BABY CHIHIRO???
I arrive at a competition for the worst letters you can send to a daughter, but my opponent is Samura
AU where Chihiro and Iori meet before canon is my Roman Empire.
In the main AU I think about, Samura first met Chihiro a little earlier, when he and Iori were living together, so Iori WAS THERE TOO.
Chihiro and Iori caught a mutual understanding while watching Shiba and Samura bicker in the spirit of "Why didn't I know you had a daughter??", "I didn't know Rokuhiro had a son either", "Don't compare..."
Iori sees in Chihiro a person who won't mock her and who generally UNDERSTANDS her, because her father is a hero too! And Chihiro!! Considers HER father a hero!!!
Chihiro looks at Iori with "đđ", but actually feels a degree of awkwardness, because... He never interacted with kids his own age... Especially those who knew who his father was!
Iori chatters about her school, and a thought flashes through her mind: could she... Could she share with this boy what's really happening to her, because she hasn't told anyone and it's so hard andâ
She doesn't say it, because she's afraid that if she says the words out loud, her father will definitely find out about everything.
One day Chihiro muses, "I wish I could go to school too..." and Iori flinches.
"I'm afraid it's still not really a place for people like us."
People like us? Like what?
Chihiro thinks it, but doesn't ask. He's trained himself on his father to recognize by a person's expression the topics better left untouched.
+ Bonus. I have to say, I respect the buzzed cut look for Chihiro, but I have a version with longer hair.
Kagurabachi Brasil better be right in this theory or imma cry my eyes out and grab on to Hokazonoâs leg and ask âWHY!?!?â And bawl my eyes out further.
next chapter of Kagurabachi please it has to be like this
Well, I think it's about time Enten became a blessed regalia, right?
I really hope so
It is an interesting and well-executed plot point that Soga mentions Hakuri in this chapter and makes it clear that he is on his hit list. It immediately becomes clear that Soga is TRULY very radical in his ideas. Essentially, I think it wasnât necessary for Chihiro (he understood everything anyway), but for the readers, I believe it is important, because there have been occasional opinions that maybe the Holy Master is right, especially in recent years when it has become fashionable to take the side of, ummm, villainous anti-heroes.
But here itâs made absolutely clear, cut and dry: Soga has no intention of investigating; he simply cuts down and kills those he deems necessary, even if it actually makes things WORSE (losing Hakuri after all, well... isnât he a (not so) slightly overpowered guy on the side of protecting the weak?? Soga, youâre supposed to want to protect the residents of this countryâ) or wonât solve anything at all (the justification for killing Hakuri was about weakening the Sazanami clan, but Hakuri isnât even in the family now; the clan wouldnât care about his loss).
The question here is also whether Soga is willing to listen and change his mind if presented with direct evidence. Most likely not, since he served an 18-year sentence, but still.
Among those 200,000 killed, there were certainly those who sincerely supported the other country, but Soga spared no one, essentially killing them simply for the fact of their birth in a specific place and upbringing in a certain environment.
He cut off Chihiro, who was trying to say that Hakuri shouldnât be killed, so it really seems he doesnât care and would kill Hakuri simply because he is a Sazanami anyway.
Before this (for example, the battle with Samura), Kagurabachi was leaning more toward accepting the past and taking responsibility, including for the sins of the fathers, because everyone around kept saying to leave the past in the past and live free of those sins.
But now we may be facing a dilemma. Responsibility must be taken, but should one die for the sins of oneâs ancestors?
Chihiro was literally sweating nervously the entire chapter
I need a fanfic where it turns out that during that meeting with Samura back when Kunishige was still alive, he was there with IORI, so Chihiro and Iori actually knew each other (I don't care that the dates don't match up).
Ideally, a slight canon divergence where during the meeting with Samura, Chihiro is 11, making Iori 10. Iori would defeat Chihiro in a sword fight that was definitely arranged between them.
Then she would start training him (because we've all been 10-year-old girls who seized a moment to start "professionally" teaching someone) and would keep insisting, "Chihiro!! You need to close your eyes!!! Feel everything around you!!!!" Chihiro, with his Sharingan, would react like "đđ".
Eventually, he tries closing them anyway, gets bonked on the head with a stick, and decides that, actually, keeping his eyes open is more important. So anyway, THAT would be an additional reason for the whole "I inherited my swordsmanship from your daughter" thingâoh yeah.
Iori and Chihiro would talk... Maybe it would come up about school, and Iori would say she doesn't want to go and doesn't like school, while Chihiro, on the contrary, would like to try it.
Iori would become interested in the fact that Chihiro doesn't go to school and is homeschooled (?)
"Dad's unemployed anyway, he could teach me... Probably."
The fic would include their meeting, and then maybe even them staying over, because Kunishige found out Samura has a daughter and is instantly like, Shiba, I DON'T CARE about secrecy, Samurai has a DAUGHTER and we have to introduce her to Chihiro, this is hilarious. Chihiro, meanwhile, is mentally like, "Dad, stoooop đ« this is so cringe," but externally maintains his usual calm expression of displeasure/confusion at his father's actions.
Kunishige lives his life as a bladesmith, while two 10-11-year-old kids make him breakfast-lunch-dinner: đđ
Chihiro watched Iori chopping vegetables with her eyes closed, decided to copy her, and CUT HIMSELF HAHAHAHAHAH and this was the fiiiiiirst time he ever cut himself while cooking, so he spent the next few days hiding his hands from his father because Kunishige also knew Chihiro had never cut himself before.
The fic would be titled something reflecting that Chihiro always keeps his eyes open, while Iori prefers to close hers...
"Wide Shut Eyes" or "Tightly Open Eyes," something like that.
God, how I want such a fic.
I think Hokazono draws parallels between Chihiro and Yura, but I have no proof...
or do I?
"You've really grown up"
-What if the Kensei ends up being kind to Chihiro?
Wait a second, is this the plot of the next chapter of Kagurabachi?? Now it seems so possible... You definitely knew something
You know Iâm seriously curious on what these marks under akemuraâs eyes are.
They could battle scars but they could also be self inflicted.
To be honest, it looks like he cried a lot, I can't think of anything else when I look at him
Chihiro is going through very tough months, with everyone around him trying to prove that they understand his father better and that his father is to blame
