“You know, this time of year is the most likely time for some sort of disaster to happen. The kind with a significant body count. Guess people just like wrecking the holiday, but I want a front row seat if it does happen.”
devlinxclery:
“–You act like there’s something wrong with the idea of a nuclear holocaust.”
“I’m not, no. Just think an up close and slower death might be better.”
olixrizzo:
“She was, um – you know, in the neck. It was – like something out of a horror movie, that some creepy masked killer did. Am I going to have to start worrying about Jason now, or Michael Myers? I mean, first the supposed animal attacks, and now this.”
“I’d suggest staying out of it, but it might be entertaining for you to find this killer. Just make sure I’m there to witness it.”
temperancegoldthwaite:
The brunette sighed loudly and slid her elbows against the counter as her hair formed a veil over her eyes. After a long pause she blew the hair out of her eyes. “Shipping packages overseas takes so much effort.”
“Pretty sure complaining takes just as much.”
bloodxspice:
Clarice had every intention of returning home from work, kicking back on the couch and not doing anything for the next 24 hours since she had the next day off from work.  Instead she walked in on him.  She jumped, startled at first, before relaxing a little.  This was all too familiar, yes.  “Maybe I did recognize you right away and didn’t bother saying anything because you mean so little to me.”  She quipt right back, though it was obvious that wasn’t the case.  “Is that the last of my cereal?”
“Oh so that’s how you’re going to treat me.” He shrugged it off none the less. He didn’t believe her for a second, though he was glad he had managed to surprise her. “Hope you bought more.” Another spoonful that hid his grin. He was known for eating all the snacks in the house, and of course he would do the same at Clary’s. If anything it was to annoy her.
“rhaecolwyn:
“Shame is a way of putting it. A game of my choosing that is indeed a very dangerous proposition because I’d choose a game I would think I’m good at your your either hoping to lose or you’ve got some tricks up your sleeve. Hmm - if I win well I don’t have to tell you you have to guess but yes. If you win I will give you the answer your questions for me. Words with Friends…no we could play word games all day. Poker or pool or air hockey you can pick one of the three”
“Oh I always have tricks up my sleeve,” Kai chuckled. “Alright then. A deal it is. I’d say air hockey for the sake of still having fun. In the end I get a name too since I never even gave you mine. You can go first.”
aurorablcke:
With a huff, she was soon out of the snow with her small hands moving quickly to get the rest of the chilled snow off her pants. “No — I’m alright. Think this human can manage a few spills into snowbanks.”
“Good. Figured I would keep you around a little longer,” Kai joked. “Come on hot chocolate is on me. You look like you need it.”
dawn-cassidyxbanshee:
Dawn warily examined the body from where she was without stepping closer. But the neck wound was clear. “… Bled out from the neck.” Dawn’s guess was a vampire. Did this mean that this man was a vampire?
“Good, good. See a point for you.” Kai smirked, not taking claim or taking claim for that matter. To each their own he guessed. “So was it a bite or did someone stab him?”
@bloodxspice
It was like old times making himself perfectly comfortable in her apartment while she was out. He helped himself even as he was holding a bowl of cereal when he heard her come in. “You know-I’m offended you didn’t remember me right away.” He smirked, hoping to have thoroughly surprised her with his appearance. “I thought I meant more than that.” Kai furthered it with a teasing comment naturally.

Hunt Sibling Dinner
damien-hunt:
matildahunt:
Matilda had trusted Clary to take Djo out for the night while she had dinner with her siblings. She did this for two reasons. One: her siblings tended to get smashed and she didn’t want her beautiful Djo around that for a first impressive of Matilda’s brothers. Two: she wanted Djo to go out and meet new people so she had friends in this town as well. Matilda was always encouraging her to get out, meet folks and make friends.  Okay and the third reason was that honestly it had been so long since she had seen her brothers. She just wanted to be selfish and have an evening alone with her brothers. Something she was lucky her open minded girlfriend understood.
Matilda hummed along with the classical music she had playing while she chopped some more fresh herbs to put in the asparagus soup. She was making a nice 4 course Meal. For appetizers, she had made herb and goat cheese crostini’s that she would broil before serving so it would be lightly golden before she topped it with some fresh tomatoes and basil. For the second course, she was making a creamy asparagus soup with an herb cream drizzle to add before serving. For the main course, she had roasting a duck with baby veggies roasted in the drippings. She was letting the duck cool before she was going to carve it and make a sauce from the left-over drippings to drizzle over the meat and veggies. For dessert, she had made a mousse trio, one of milk chocolate with fresh mint, one white chocolate with raspberry syrup and finally a dark chocolate with espresso creamed whip topping.
Matilda smiled proudly at her selection for the night and she took a sip of the white wine she had opened to enjoy while she cooked. Before she left New Orleans, her family had a chef that cooked for her and her siblings. She had learned a lot since the last time they sat down for a meal. She knew she had made way too much but she could just take some left overs to Clary the next day. She was already planning to make her some sugar cookies with a surprise strawberry filling as a thank you for her help.  Matilda glanced at the clock and smiled. Her brothers should be arriving any minute.Â
Dinner dates with the youngest sibling required just as much attention as his usual meetings with the opposite sex so Damien made sure to look his best, it was something he and Matilda shared, a certain vanity that extended to many things.
So, armed with three crates of the most expensive wine, a bouquet of spring flowers and an overnight bag, Damien drove to Matilda’s place in anticipation for a much needed family dinner. He had always enjoyed his youngest sister’s cooking, her caring nature made for a lovely trait and he often amused himself with enjoying a blissful married life with a doting wife who cooks and cares for him. Of his numerous marriages, he had been lucky to experience it quite a couple of times but it was his tendency to get so easily bored with the silly mortals that often resulted in their tragic end.Â
“It smells wonderful in here, Ducky,” he commented as he entered the kitchen, handing her the flowers he had bought from Magdeline’s shop, “This is why I keep killing my wives– nobody compares to you,” he teased.
Kai had to admit he wasn’t so sure about this whole dinner thing. He wasn’t the most sure about being around his family gain after his extended time apart. He had enjoyed the alone time, but he wouldn’t willingly admit to missing having them close. Though he hadn’t confided in Damien as of late, he had once upon a time. Naturally, Matilda had pulled out all the stops on this dinner. No surprise there. “You always manage to outdo yourself every time,” he quipped, giving his brother a nod as he passed to give Matilda a kiss on the cheek. “I will try and be on my best behavior. No promises.” It was a joke, one she should have known well by now.

damien-hunt:
“You think you’re so badass now, but I remember you crying a lot when you were a babe, so don’t sass me,” Damien countered with a playful hit. He often enjoyed teasing the boy about his softness, knowing how much he disliked it when the older male called him adorable or treated him like a child.Â
“They’re quite lenient, yes,” he nodded, “But the presence of the hunters vex me especially with Matilda around.”
“I’ve always wanted attention. That much should have been obvious.” Hell even at a young age he wanted to be at the center of everything and anything. Another reason to act out of course. “Ah, but they are the most fun t play with, brother. They jump at any chance to lash out. Certainly not ones to plan before they act it appears.”
^
“Managed to get myself stuck, I thought that part was clear!” The human said with a sense of sass behind her voice, her hand still begging for help. “I was trying to stay out of the way of possible slush! Are you going to help me or…?”
“Yeah yeah come on-” Kai extended his own hand, pulling her up and out of the snow. ”Not hurt right? I know how fragile you humans can be.”
giannaxstjamesx:
“I doubt that someone threw it out. A lot people around here love hot chocolate.”
“Then looks like your shit out of luck because it’s nowhere to be found.”
rhaecolwyn:
“Tactful, calculated with all the makings of a terrible mind. It’s always the handsome ones one must worry about after all a pretty face can hide all manner of horrors. What do I like well it would be no fun to simply tell you and have you win out holding all the cards.” She bowed her head with a smile. “Thank you. I do appreciate it very much so”
“Smart choice. Don’t think a lot of people see things the way you and I do then. Which is a shame for them don’t you think? How about we play a game of your choosing then? If I win then I get the answers I want. If you win...well, name your price sweetheart.”
