“That’s mine, give back!” She said holding out her hand impatiently.
“Relax, I was just about to pass it to you. You dropped it so I was just returning it.”

“That’s mine, give back!” She said holding out her hand impatiently.
“Relax, I was just about to pass it to you. You dropped it so I was just returning it.”
Jaylynn crossed her arms, he seemed quite interested in that book. Usually others would ignore it or toss it across the room. “I had it with me before all this started, it was- Still is my favorite book.” She shrugged at him, “Reading calms me.”
“What book is it?” He asked curiously, as he didn’t have enough time to read the title before she made him put it down. He gave her half a smile and nodded, “I used to read when I was stressed and needed a break from things.”
“Well aren’t you just a charmer. Aw, you’ve made me blush.” She teased smirking as she held a hand up to her cheek.
“What can I say, you make it easy.” He told her before sinking down to the floor next to her. “So, is there a reason we’re on the floor?”
“That’s exactly why I told you to put it down and if you’re kind you will..Unless you’re one of those people who don’t give a shit if something belongs to someone else.”
Kaiden carefully put the book down, he tried not to show his disappointment. It had been so long since he’d been able to read a book, much to people’s surprise he used to be a big book lover. “Did you find it, or is it something you had before all this started?”
“But a cool looking one, right?” She smirked teasing trying to make light of his comment after seeing the realisation cross his face.
Kaiden couldn’t help but to laugh at the brunette, “Certainly the prettiest one that I’ve seen.” He replied with his signature smirk and a wink.
“If I were you I’d put that down, taking things from others isn’t so polite.” She said.
“Relax, I was just looking. Don’t see many books around anymore.”

Kaiden nodded his head thanking her, while reaching over to take the bottle. Shrugging, he took a swig of the alcohol. “Nah, you’re good lass. I’d close the window next time though, not everyone is as nice as me.”
“What am I doing on the floor? I don’t knooow.”
“You look like a homeless person.” He replied before he realised technically they were all homeless now.

Fuckin’ Perfect by P!nk
Mistreated, misplaced, misunderstood. Miss 'No way, it's all good’. It didn't slow me down. Mistaken, always second guessing. Underestimated, look I'm still around. Pretty, pretty please, don't you ever, ever feel. Like you're less than fucking perfect. Pretty, pretty please, if you ever, ever feel. Like you're nothing, you're fucking perfect to me. You're so mean (so mean) when you talk (when you talk). About yourself. You were wrong. Change the voices (change the voices) in your head (in your head). Make them like you instead.

The blonde sat in the center of the library – a place she thought she’d managed to acquire for herself. A bottle of red wine sat by her side; a luxury Pandora had managed to receive during a trade. Granted, the the whole place was awfully secured so far, probably due to her slightly tipsy state. This small fact only turned to stone once she glanced up from her sketchpad just to find herself staring at another survivor. “Oh. I guess this is the part where I ask if you fancy a drink.”
Kaiden couldn’t help but to laugh at the blonde. He was pretty sure she had her priorities mixed up but who was he judge. “I wouldn’t say no” He replied with a cheeky grin. “So are you always this relaxed about security or just after a few drinks of alcohol?”
“it’s the air releasing from the large intestine,” she spared him a glance with unblinking eyes before she returned to her task; her fingers pried at the intestine and she tugged it upwards to show him. “do you wanna touch it?”
“How the hell did you know that?” He asked raising a brow, he was pretty sure she didn’t learn at school - they didn’t even have them anymore. He looked down at the girl like she was crazy, “No, I’m good thanks. What are you even doing with it?”
“How am I supposed to know what that was? I’m standing right next to you. Someone probably just dropped something.”
“Dude, it was a rhetorical question.” He replied rolling his eyes, “Do you think we should check it out?”
Callie froze and her eyes widened in shock at being caught out, thinking fast she put on an innocent look smiling at her father “Psh, no. No, of course not. I have no idea what you’re talking about.” She kept looking around the room to avoid making eye contact with her father.
He couldn’t help but to smile as he watched her posture change. She reminded him so much of Avery it was untrue. “Have I ever told you, how much you’re like your mom.”
Eden looked back to where the source of the noise would have been and then back at the man. “I ain’t sure what it was, but I know I don’t want t’ find out.”
Kaiden nodded in agreement, “Yeah, me neither. Let’s go.”
“Nothing man, forget it.”
“That was not nothing, what’s going on dude?
