It's SoKai Week so I decided to update that art for a fanfic I did last year that was also for the event. Don't worry i'll have something for the event soon, i've been busy with Art Fight.

Oops, my hand slipped again and I appear to have drawn more Kingdom Hearts dragons.

Sora was kind of easy... At first. I wanted kiddie, Spyro-esc dragon. I kept his hair, this time as literal spikes, although his 'ears' are also part of the hair silhouette. His colours weren't that easy since He's usually got a lot going on, but I went with more of a subdued pallet with bright unders and flamboyant wings. Overall, I tried to keep him friend-shaped and cute! But... with that smile and those teeth... He might not be so much.

Riku was a little harder. The only solid thing I knew I wanted him to have was a beak. Then I decided to become a little bit evil and made him resemble Maleficent a little bit. His colour scheme is dark, because for the majority of Kingdom Hearts 1, he's the 'antagonist'. It also both ties him and Sora together, as well as elude to their opposition. Sora has a white belly, Riku's is black. Like with Sora, I wanted his wing unders to be bright, but not flamboyantly so. More subdued and dare I saw... dawn-ish. That and they're dream-eater colours.

I was stumped with what to do with Kairi for a little while. I didn't want to go the same route that I did with Vor; which was a 'small and cute dragon'. So, I decided to just test the waters and see if anything stuck. And it did! Because Kairi's an oceanic/ sea-going dragon! I avoided pink like the plague, but let it seep into the overall design. Kairi's colour will always be purple to me. I also wanted her to be much more colourful overall than the boys. She has more fishy-elements to her, such as her tail being more akin to a fish's and her ear-things. I wanted to convey a more seal-shape to her face, which helped her keep round and friendly.
