Could you do a quick tutorial on how to draw clenched fists please? Only if you want to though!

Sure!! and bear in mind I’m in no way a professional so take these with a grain of salt

obviously the best way is to use reference, and the best thing about hands is you generally have one free to look at while drawing. So here’s some quick hands with references. Most people don’t clench their fists around their thumb (which you really shouldn’t do if your character is throwing a punch - they’ll break their own thumb) so I had them out. They’re either pressed against the pointer finger or diagonal across all the fingers.

fists are really just rhombuses so if you use that to block out your base shape you should be good to go.

another important part is the fingers all curled up inside - a side-view should have a “y” shape in there, the long leg connecting to the palm and the short arm going to the second knuckle.

also something I noticed with my own hands (idk if it’s the same for everyone) but the fingers curl into the center of the palm, meaning a head-on shot of a clenched fist should show a little side of the palm peeking out around the pinky.
