Stop Supporting Sixpenceee

I feel like by now most people must know she’s a bad person and are choosing to ignore it. For years I’ve been seeing callout posts and receipts and yet she STILL constantly graces my dash. I truly cannot fathom why that is. When people like Zubat/Alex get called out, they are immediately ostracized and I never see them again. What is it about Sixpenceee that makes y’all so forgiving of her? Spooky content is cool, ok, there’s plenty of other people who post spooky shit on the Internet. That’s a terrible excuse.

ANYWAY. I’m posting receipts because most people who have made callout posts in the past have been bullied off Tumblr. I am a sex worker. There is no way you will ever successfully bully me off Tumblr. There is nothing you could say that I haven’t heard a million times already. Good luck to you if you want to try, though. *thumbs up*

I don’t feel knowledgeable enough about this subject to do anything but place this post here for y’all to read. My gut reaction is “why tf are you defending child labor?” especially because she’s a white girl from a wealthy family, but here is the post for y’all to see for yourselves.

There are TONS of accusations of her bullying people, telling people to kill themselves, trying to start shit with them from other blogs, etc.

Unfortunately, pretty much every blog that had the receipts on those has since been deleted. I think it’s pretty obvious why.

Ok, as a biology major, y’all need to chill. Snakes this big are incredibly docile. They have been bred this way. Furthermore, the person taking care of this animal could not properly take care of them if they did not feed them regularly and well. This child is in no more danger than if she was sitting next to a big dog.

this is literally no way to treat any animal, and it’s completely avoidable.

.5ppm+ ammonia is inexcusable - this betta was literally burning alive every second he was in that water - and it’s entirely from lack of care. not to mention his fins are literally rotting off and he is completely emaciated - this fish was not being fed.

for example, here is my completely healthy male dumbo eared betta, arwen:

his back has a nice curve outward to it, meaning he is a healthy weight. his stomach has a gentle swell, meaning he was fed recently and an appropriate amount for his size. he doesn’t have fin rot, meaning his fins are not blackening and necrotic - literally rotting away.

for comparison, here is the doubletail male i got today:

both his back and stomach are sunken in - this betta is both emaciated and hasn’t eaten in several days at least. his fins are necrotic and rotting away - he is quite literally decaying while still alive. he is also VERY pale - meaning he is stressed and sick. (NOTE: the healthy betta used as an example isn’t a double tail - which means exactly what it sounds like. he only has one tail while the betta i got today has two)

this is a comparison between the two from above:

it was difficult to take a picture of arwen from above because a healthy betta is very unlikely to sit still when your hands are hovering above them - my betta would be excited and dancing around for food, because they are conditioned to associate my hands above them with eating. in general, a healthy betta isn’t going to sit still for a picture. aside from that, i think it’s very apparent the difference between the two. arwen’s body is all gentle, healthy curves. his head isn’t large in proportion to his body and it doesn’t look weirdly disjointed from the rest of his body.

i’d normally post this to my fish blog, but i think it’s extremely important for people to really SEE this cruelty for what it is and understand just how easy it would be to provide proper care. i don’t suggest anyone “rescue” a betta from petsmart or any other store- especially walmart. that being said, i just couldn’t leave him, he was belly up and i knew if i didnt take him no one else would - not like it would have mattered because i got him at closing and i know he wouldnt have survived the night had i not taken him. i also saw an opportunity for education - because i have 10k followers on this blog.

this is his new home. a clean, warm environment dosed with aquarium salt and stressguard(a fish antiseptic). i will have to monitor him closely for a while, change out his water daily and dose him with more antiseptic and aquarium salt.

this is the difference in just 5 hours

please, properly care for your animals, and dont support companies that don’t.

As someone who has been living with severe suicidal ideation my entire life I wanna tell you all something, you don’t have to stay alive for yourself. People will say it’s a bad idea to live for external things because they’re temporary, and it’s true living for yourself is ideal but if you’re not to that point yet that’s ok too.

I’ve lived for my dog for the past 4 years, before that I lived for my snakes, before that I lived for my cat. You can live for whatever needs you and whatever matters to you. Live for your best friend, live for your plants, live for your pets, live for your animal crossing town. Live for whatever keeps you alive and the day will come when you can live for yourself.

I do not reblog things like this very often, but this affects me both personally and my business as a freelance artist.

In the economy here; cash is already strapped as it is. You bet your ass companies would suck the ever living life out of misc. art sites.

I don’t want it to ever come down to me choosing between groceries or purchasing a new tier package via comcast to be able to access tumblr or DeviantArt (let alone not guaranteeing I’ll even be seen by my customer base since they may not want to pay out their asses either). It doesn’t seem important to most, but I do 90% of my business online entirely.

Please sign up, fight for this and share it with your followers/friends/family and urge them to give them hell as well.

Not writing related, but this is incredibly important. While we pay for service via ISPs, the internet has been a relatively free space where everyone, no matter their income level, is able to connect, access a wealth of information, and express themselves. The Internet has become a major part of our culture as human beings and the notion that ISPs might be able to limit what sites I can access unless I pay them more is utterly sickening. A lot of us are cash strapped as is, and I’d rather not be limited even more by someone else’s greed. Net Neutrality is essential and I hope you guys will understand why it needs to remain.

As I understand this ruling, it means that businesses now have to pay extra to ISPs to have access to their websites through that ISP provided at a reasonable speed. If you don’t pay, users’ access to your website will be slowed to a crawl - so independent people and small businesses can forget about getting onto that high speed access tier.

This means that the American internet is going to be firmly under the control of those who have the most money. You’ll only get to see the content of those who can pay the ISPs to provide access at a reasonable speed. This means that you can expect to see skewed representation of just about everything, with those bigger businesses who can afford to pay ISPs a premium for access deciding what you can and cannot read, view and consume on the internet.

This is not something that we have in the UK. Our ISPs compete with each other to provide higher speeds, better services and lower prices, but because there’s a monopoly in the US of a few ISPs who provide services, they can afford to do this to you. You can’t go anywhere else, after all.

Everyone in the US needs to sign that petition, call their representatives, write angry letters and do whatever you can to tell your government that this ruling is Not Okay.
