i think its impossible to analyze tony domenicos new projects (petscop, 3dwiscr) without bringing up his previous works, and thats why it always feels like video essays on them are incomplete.

like i know its perfectly ok to take petscop as its own, solitary, anonymous project, since thats the way it was initially presented, but to fully understand what tony wanted to say with it you HAVE to read tapers and play nifty. to talk about 3dwiscr you HAVE to watch good sky and know the impact petscop had on the internet.

every project is a response and evolution on the last, you can see the way he distilled the themes and imagery he liked best, the way he criticizes his own failures, the ways fans idolized and obsessed over his work.
