As much as I love dogging on Super and criticizing the sheer amount of inconsistencies in its writing........it did do some things right. I do appreciate how they handled this moment in BoG with Goku.

He's backed up against the figurative wall, faced with power greater than his own that threatens to wipe out Earth and everything on it..... The first person who flashes in his mind is Chi Chi.

This isn't the first time a scene like this happened either. There's moments scattered in *Z* of Goku thinking of Chi Chi and Gohan in times of crisis, having nightmares n' whatnot of them in danger.

Annnnd yet, some people still say that Goku doesn't love his wife. Doesn't love his kids. Unreal.

😂 It's no problem really! But I do promise that there's other db fans who share similar takes to mine out there, we're all just....dwarfed in size by the loud and ignorant fans. Which this fanbase is packed to the brim of.

It's always fun remembering this blog exists, and logging in to see 99+ notifications in my activity feed.

My active interest in DB has declined a lot over the past year, so I don't feel that much of an urge to be present, but it is really nice to see people still enjoying my Goku / Son family positivity posts!

Yep! I've seen it in tons of non-Gochi ship art (especially with Kakavege coughcough), but even with Gochi art, I don't often see Goku blatantly feeling up / lusting after Chi Chi? There's definitely been less instances.

Then of course you have the fans who more so project onto Goku rather than ship him with others, but I've seen too much fan content of Goku lusting after Caulifla (which is so creepy on top of that because she's def half his age) and Vados for my liking.

This is a more niche (if that's the right word) addition but I rp in the dragon ball scene here on this site, and I've seen a lot people who rp Goku portray him as sex-brainrotted as well. It's infuriating.

Overall, fans are so weird with him. A lot of this stuff is at best stupid, at worse acephobic (people see a character who canonically doesn't show active interest in sex or in others' levels of physical attraction, and they just sexualize tf out of them). I've seen bs and said "this fanbase doesn't deserve you Goku" to myself so many times now that I've lost count.

In honor of ace awareness week, I was gonna write a long rant over how icky it is for fans to depict Goku as a horndog who lusts after everyone ever when he's so clearly ace-coded, but I don't have the energy to.
