After making this fun neon fever dream for someone's giveaway, I wondered, could something this bright also look good in a completely different color scheme? I thought about editing it further, such as changing the drawings' shapes or making them less chaotically angled. The first character, after all, was well-represented by its madness and crookedness. The second less so. But with the backdrop of “comic books come to life” invoked by both, I wanted to leave those threads intact. Kinda fun to see it so twisted despite being so similar, you know?

DESCRIPTION:
Inspired by the familiar format of a dating app, this Google Docs template gives you a place to introduce yourself as a writer, establish what you're looking for, and then present your original characters. After the initial sneak peek, each character gets their own profile, making it easy for potential writing partners to browse your roster and decide who catches their eye.
In its current state, it has slots for eleven characters, but the "keep swiping" pages can easily be edited for less or more. So while it's eighteen pages at the moment (eleven individual pages to highlight each character further + seven of the other kinds), it can really be amenable to what you need! Plus, there are four layout types for the OC pages, either for you to rotate between or choose your favorite from.
Whether you're looking for a new roleplay partner or simply want a fun way to organize your current muses, this template is designed to make character discovery feel a little more like swiping through something fun and silly rather than scrolling through a wall of information.

A very lovely customer asked me to put something together for their dire wolf OC, and although I was initially curious what it would be like to make a non-human template for the first time, it was quite fun to build this! Though, I confess, the product I sent to them looks much cooler because there is some very well-done art of their and other OCs in it. But we both wanted to remove those for this post to protect their privacy! Trust me, though, the drawings are very cool!

DESCRIPTION:
This is an nine-page Google Doc template designed to be used for a single muse. A pink and red dream just in time for Valentine's Day! It took me quite a while to get inspired making this request; then, once the switch flipped, I couldn't stop! The colors, ugh! It was a lot of fun to put together in the end. Oh, and there is not an outline within the design of each page, but headers have still been used! So the navigation built into the left panel works if you want to flick through the sections.
Complexity Level: It's pretty average. Since all of the images are ovals, they are indeed in the Google Drawings function, oops. Page 2 and 7's drawings are actually "stuck" on the same drawings as the backgrounds because they were bugging out on me. Aaaaannnnddd all the background images are "hidden" within the header, so double-click at the top to open that up. Then you'll be able to edit it like usual :)
The version I sent my requester had loads more text in it...so just a casual reminder that the Lorem Ipsum text fillers are only there to protect the layout as is, not to limit your writing. You can always resize and delete photos to get more space! Give yourself as much room as you need to encompass your muse!

What’s the fun in hiding all the fun? Well, since I know the concept of my pending server won’t be to everyone’s cup of tea, but perhaps you still want this template, I decided to basically immediately go back on it being exclusive for the server. There is a version just for in there, yes, but here’s a fun one that anyone can enjoy!
This Google Docs template is nine pages of hedonism, prohibition, greed, and glory! It’s incredibly customizable because everything but the images themselves are drawings, so you can change the colors to anything your heart desires! Hope enjoy jazzing your way through this art deco dream.
Complexity Level: If you are comfortable with the basics of replacing images with the Drawings function, you’ll be all set here! Every drawing element (including the background) is combined on one (which is also hidden in the header) because I’m lazy and don’t like click around lol.

Haha. So, in general, it's always welcome to request anything! I am always interested in hearing what people would like to receive. You can be super specific, like asking for "a red and orange eight-page template for a fire bender from Avatar with X on page 1 and Y on page 3," etc. Or you can be general, such as, "Another multi-muse template." I accept it all, so long as there's no hate/ill will attached to it.
The thing with requests is that I can't guarantee I'll make them. Or that, if I do, I honor every specific aspect of a specific request. I just follow where my inspiration takes me, which can be fickle and/or take an unexpected turn.
So then I also don't know if the resulting template will be free or paid to use, as it depends on how long it took me. (One of my templates once took me upwards of 50 hours to make lol.)
Basically, ask away! You never know!
However, I am not sure how I feel about my templates being used as an official server template. (I go more into my thought process under "Using My Templates in Servers/Groups/Etc." on this page.) But I am open to discussing it further with you if you want :)

DESCRIPTION:
These fifteen-page Google Docs templates were designed to be very different from one another, despite having almost identical layouts. They're all built for a single muse. And they're all from quite varied stories and time periods! I wanted to demonstrate how much you can transform a base into exactly what you need for a character's world and aesthetic. You're always welcome to make these kinds of edits to my templates! If that is overwhelming to do on your own, I will also happily do these changes for you. Even though this project ended up taking a lot more time than I anticipated, it was a treat to bring so many to life!
The base for this started as a previously-published template of mine, Midnight Mauve! That inspired transformations into other "times of day," thus creating the DAYDREAM HOURS series. Your purchase includes all six!

I searched blonde things for Amalthea, obviously, and then Pinterest seemed to hold onto that for dear life. So apologies for how many of these are blondies lol. The faceclaims are Cindy Kimberly in Midnight Mauve, Elsa Hosk in Daylit Daisy, and Tanner Reese in Sterling Vesper. The other three don't have one representative like that because I was too busy using the pretty photos I had already gathered lol.

I think the TL;DR would be that I admired pretty documents for a long time but didn't necessarily have the budget to buy them. So a few years ago, I thought I should see what happens if I tried to make them! I've just experimented, basically lol, so a lot of my early templates have been deleted or will not see the light of day. I have no graphic design background, so I don't know how to use any other platforms. And I'm sure my general design skills could use some work. But oh well! That's what practice is for!
A longer answer would be that I had to spend a lot of time exploring the full capacity of Google Docs features. My first "breakthrough" was definitely with Tables and their functions. I used to think all borders for all cells in a table had to be the same, for example. Once I learned you could change the thickness, color, line type, etc. of each line individually, it opened up a whole new world!
I also used to ignore the "Table Options" and "Image Options" menus because I thought they were unnecessary. But now I realize that a lot of designing improves by tenfold once you start utilizing those options. (It also makes creation faster.)
Like I said, I started tinkering quite a while ago. (Maybe even during the pandemic?) I was too shy to share my work for a long time, in addition to taking quite a long pause in creating while life got busy. Recently, I had to take a leave of absence from work due to an illness, which left me really bored at home. Making docs has become a nice way to use some creativity/give myself a bit of purpose without expending too much of myself mentally or physically while I'm also still working on getting better.
I don't think you need years of experience to begin sharing things you make; I actually wish I had started being a part of this community from the beginning! So I can recommend just going for it!
I didn't use any tutorials when learning because I'm a "through experience" personality type, but I am sure there are lots of tutorials out there. I know of a few because of the various doc communities now if you want some links.
But perhaps I can advise one particular thing! When I knew I wanted to create more but didn't necessarily have my own ideas for documents, I opened up a giveaway. This wasn't the same as a commission because I needed to still "steer" my own creativity, but I accepted requests from people for their characters. Details here. This led to me making things I would've never thought to do otherwise, like my Pokemon template.
It was so much fun to do, and it helped me feel more comfortable doing all kinds of different styles :)

I fear this will be the coolest thing I ever make. But wow...did it almost take me out haha. Trying to integrate gifs into a Google Doc template is no joke! That's why I actually recommend getting your best preview with this live document to see how everything properly moves! Yes, moves! Ahhhh! This ten-page single muse overview dives into infinity and beyond to explore your OC and their world. Maybe even their universe! Although the white and black are pretty locked in for the functionality of the doc, you can probably change the cyan to another color if you'd like. There's a navigation bar across the bottom with working links and so much sci-fi fun throughout that I wish I had an excuse to use this one myself. Cyborgs! Aliens! Cosmonauts! Oh my!
Complexity Level: I must admit that making the gifs work alongside everything meant some pretty odd decisions here and there, so it's more advanced. Don't be afraid to reach out to me for help! I'm happy to support.

This Google Doc is fourteen pages, but it can be expanded to as many as you need! Just copy and paste the various entries to cover all of your tracking goals! This is sort of a multi-muse doc, though I'd say it's a bit more like a writing overview. It delves into your project, the main protagonists/antagonists, side characters, and a calendar of events to keep it clear what happens when. I do think the pages/titles could be pretty easily changed to track other things though! I tried to keep it neutral and clean to keep the pages from getting too busy even when there's a lot of info packed into them. I hope it'll help you maintain a bit of order while also providing a nice overview for you (or people you show it to)!
Complexity Level: So, due to the fun shapes of the images, they're all "housed" in the Drawings function. But I've tried to make it as easy as possible by almost always putting everything on the same drawing per page, to limit having to click around and such. So you'll be able to edit the text from any mobile app pretty easily, but the design, colors, and images will have to be done on a desktop of some kind.

This silly seven-page Google Doc is designed for your Mystery Incorporated single muse. I went for a more graphic touch than my usual designs, and I loved making this an explosion of color and groovy shapes. There's a general "super bright" version, and then one color-coded for each member of the Scooby Gang! (See the listing or my retweet for those previews, since it was a later update.) I know the flowers aren't perfectly accurate, but this was the only way that I knew how to make them from drawings. Because of this, yes, every single element can be changed to another color of your choice, in case the ones I picked aren't tickling your fancy. Everything is made within Google Docs' functions/shapes, so it's totally amenable to what you'd like to bring your boo to life! Your wish is the template's color scheme command!

This fourteen-page Google Doc template for a single muse is designed with a D&D spellcaster in mind! It's meant to be a compendium to your other sources that will have all of the RAW for you, with a focus on the deep characterization of your cutie pie in order to roleplay them as thoroughly as can be. When I originally made this for a character of mine, it was actually insane how much it helped me better understand her and thus play her better. I loved it! Although perhaps a bit tedious to do, this can be changed to any color or vibe that would better fit your adventurer!
Complexity Level: This one is a bit more complex if you're editing the aesthetic, but simply adding your own info will be a breeze!
