been going thru the five stages of grief abt what might happen to chiaki since i saw that timeline wise things do add up for her to be taken for a year :( even if she goes through the horrors (maybe she will gain allies though among the mikaboshi and she’ll be okay) i hope hokazono actually gives her and us some time to see her cope with things because if not it’s gonna be a bad look :/

okay okay so this is out there rn but the way chiaki worded things “the me that is princess soga isn’t important to me” got me thinking what if there’s a way to get rid of “princess soga” to save chiaki… would she lose her powers of prophecy if she made a contract with an enchanted blade perhaps…

been thinking on this all day and just made the connection. because it’s like obviously hokazono putting this threat on chiaki is really scary and upsetting, not unrealistic for a story like this but why did he do it. and it hit me that, while kunishige already seemed like he was down to work on forging shit w the datenseki, hearing that chiaki’s safety and autonomy was threatened explicitly spurs him on to create this enchanted blade project immediately. (you can argue that it’s in combination with that and what happened to shiba and everyone). so there’s chiaki being threatened and kunishige hitting the pen and the forge to make a solution to keep her safe. and then you look at how part one ended with chihiro hitting the pen and forge, after akemura threatened hakuri… what more can i say.
