Corniest concept but Keith wanting to randomly call Allura “Mrs. Kogane” one quiet moment at home, expecting that she’d start blushing and stammering at the name, but when he actually says it to her, it hits him full force like ‘wait I’m actually married… and Allura’s my WIFE…. this is REAL’ and now he’s the one suddenly super flustered in her arms while she’s rubbing his back soothingly like “my darling….”

Valentine’s Day shenanigans with Keith and Allura are just:

Breakfast at the same time, where Kosmo doesn’t wolf (ha) down both their plates for once (because Keith pleaded with him to behave for just one day and Koz decided to be nice);

Hoverbike rides going anywhere;

Going into town for a bit, so Allura can see the decorations/festivities and get to sample chocolates. Keith subtly buys her a small box after he saw her eyes shine after she tasted some;

Allura excusing herself with… an excuse… only to look for a great gift for Keith;

Keith taking that time to look for something for her;

Lunch at Hunk’s restaurant! He tries to spoil them with a free VIP meal as his gift to them, but they’re adamant that they pay him for everything. They also brought a gift for him!!!

Sitting together on the roof of the shack and watching the sunset together;

First attempt at cooking a valentine’s dinner together! All the animals try to help. Somehow, they make something decently edible, but everyone is covered in some seasoning or condiment after all the chaos;

Pepper making Allura sneeze and Keith can’t help but 🥺 when she does bc it’s so cute…..

Them staring lovingly at each other from across the table while the food gets cold;

Snuggling on the couch under Keith’s blanket and exchanging gifts:

Allura beams at hers and launches into Keith’s arms and rapid-fire kisses him in gratitude;

Keith tears up juuust a bit at his and pulls Allura into his arms and squeezes her and kisses her delicately on her nose;

“Not bad for your first Earth holiday?” “I wouldn’t have asked for a better way to spend it.”

An expansion of an idea, but an s8 concept of Keith burning through the training bots that the Atlas provides (because there must be some on that Castleship clone), and so he asks Allura if she wouldn’t mind sparring with him for an hour or so. Partially because he needs a bit of challenge with her whip, partially because he’s been too reliant on his swords and wants to get back into hand-to-hand combat, and partially because she’s been so stressed out with the war, and he wants to help her blow off some steam

I was thinking about the similarity that Keith and Allura have with using collective nouns\pronouns to signify themselves… because they see themselves as a part of a greater body of people who care for the other…. and how their pronoun use signifies their personal relationship to taking care of themselves vs taking care of the other.

When Keith and Allura are being sacrificial, they say “I” - 

because “No one else needs to make this decision, but me - and I won’t let anyone else get into harm’s way for this”.

But when it’s out of love\concern for the other, it’s “we/us/Voltron” -

because Allura and Keith care about the other one so much, but they’re expressing it to each other\others by disguising it as “You and I are a part of the same team - and the team (including me, especially me) loves you.”

Keith would often be Allura’s escort to political events. At first, it was because he was the black Paladin and she was the princess so… leader goals.. but eventually they enjoy being each other’s escorts and would prefer each other.
