INDEFINITE HIATUS / Calem sucks

Hey! Maya here. Some of you may know me better as Serena-mun... but that's not the point. This blog is on an indefinite hiatus. As it stands, I doubt I will ever return to the Pokemon fandom. Quite frankly, I don't enjoy it anymore, and what's the point of staying in a community that I can't have fun roleplaying in? If you're still interested in contacting or roleplaying with me, I've provided links to my two most active blogs, both in the Fire Emblem fandom (and both available to crossover interactions). The ask box below is tied to my Takumi blog for easy access. I wish all of you luck, and I'm sorry it had to come to this. [ hi! serena-mun here with an important reminder that i do not use this blog anymore. to be blunt, i’m not sure if i ever will again at this point. i love serena, and her muse is still… kind of lingering, but… i just don’t find rping in the pokemon fandom fun anymore. while i was here, it grew incredibly stressful, and it scared me away… i as a person can’t handle stress well at all, as some of you may know.

but this doesn’t have to be farewell… as i’ve said many times, you all may feel free to follow fellbloodtactician if you wish to roleplay with me (don’t worry, she’s crossover friendly!), or follow me on strategistrobin, my personal, if you’d prefer to just talk to me ooc. or both. i really don’t mind; i miss all of you, honestly. if i were to rp in the pokemon fandom at all, it would probably be at jeunesailes, seeing as it is calmer there and her main interactions are outside of the fandom.

i’m sorry that i can’t muster the courage to be here any longer, i really am. it’s been fun, and i’ll keep serena up in case i feel good enough to return here, but you are under no obligation to wait for a day that may never even come. i see i’ve been added to a couple of follow forever posts since i’ve last checked this blog, and… truthfully it means a lot that so many of you really would follow me forever. you’ve made that clear, and it makes me really happy.

thank you, all of you, for your continued support. i really hope i can come back here someday. this is a bit more sentimental than i intended originally but i do have wonderful memories here. i met some incredible people through rping serena, and those people are why i still have a small hope that i’ll be able to come back someday.

Luckily he’d gotten it to the body of water safely, and now it was swimming just below the surface. It approached the Harvest King, who bent down.

"You said it changed with power… I do not want to cause the creature any harm, but I do not understand how that actually happens."

  "Well, for a Pokemon to evolve, it has to train... which involves fighting and knocking out other Pokemon." As she spoke, Serena crouched down beside the Harvest King, extending a hand to the fish with a smile. Judging by its size alone, it probably wasn't too high in level, and it seemed content to swim in the lake he had put it in.

  "And considering that I doubt you have any others around, I don't think it'll randomly evolve and surprise you one day. Plus, it helps that Magikarp don't exactly excel at fighting. Getting Magic to evolve was pretty hard to do."

  "I'm going to assume that by 'fish', you mean a Magikarp. Right? Just care for it as you would any other aquatic creature. You can handle that much, can't you?" She did want to make sure the poor thing was okay, though. Maybe her Gyarados could adopt it.

  "So, um... did I miss anything important?"

  "I suppose I should mention that the League reopened, which is where I've been... it's been very hectic, and our security was upped tenfold. Some of the Pokemon I don't use for challengers have been assigned as guards sometimes. We haven't had any problems, but... Tenebres tends to scare prospective challengers away sometimes."

  "Hey! I know that I haven't really been around, but guess what? Today marks mine and Calem's first year of being together! I can't believe it's been that long... I still remember it like it happened only yesterday." And she still loved him with all of her heart, just as she did last year. At least this time, they rang in the New Year at home, in Kalos.

  "I took a trip to Kanto again and only got back a couple of days ago... it was nice to visit my father. I miss him so much... but... I think I'm finally coming to terms with everything that's happened. This past anniversary of his, um... absence... was a lot easier since I was surrounded by my friends and family."

so, this is a thing. it's been a long year. not necessarily the best, full of ups and downs, but overall? im glad i decided to make this blog. i have met so many wonderful people, and ive been at roughly 950 followers for a while--an AMAZING feat for me; my previous record follower count was 400! i cant thank you all enough for all of the support you all have given me throughout the past year that serena has existed. i know im technically still on hiatus but i do miss you all and i just wanted to thank you guys for stickin with me through my bs. ;v; my hiatus will end soon, within the next few weeks. until then, find me at fellbloodtactician!!! i'm looking forward to serena's return in full force!

  Having expected her boyfriend to wish her a happy birthday, Serena's grin was only more widespread when their lips pressed together, and she closed her eyes, content.

  "Thanks, Cae. I'm glad that you remembered!" Not that she'd assumed he had--how could he, after all?
